Failure Rate: Xbox 360 High As 33% - Sony PS3 + Nintendo Wii Less Than 1% dont believe me? heres the link: http://www.ripten.com/2007/07/03/failure-rate-xbox-360-high-as-33-sony-ps3-less-than-1/
The 360 has a 1 year head start on the PS3, so lets kill that year and compare same term sales. That's easy to do because November is the anniversary of both. 2005-2007 - 2 years of 360 sales equals 12.8 Million 2006-2008 - 2 years of PS3 sales equals 16.5 Million Very interesting! By shifting and comparing like sales terms we see that in the same amount of time, the PS3 has out sold the 360. So one could argue that had the PS3 and 360 been released at the same time, the 360 would clearly be on the bottom. But, they didn't so this is worthless. However, this data does clearly show us that the PS3 is IN FACT not over priced and sales are doing just fine. We can also look at this another way. Right now there is a 5.8 million difference between the two. At the one year mark for the 360 they had sold 6.3 million 360's. These numbers aren't worthless, these are real time, no shifting anything numbers. From the date the PS3 was released they had to make up for 6.3 million 360s that were already sold and today there is only a 5.8 million difference. Meaning they closed the gap by a whopping half million units. So, over the course of TWO FRIGGEN YEARS the PS3 and 360 have been head to head and never even broke a full million units apart. Which only further strengthens the fact that the PS3 is NOT over priced. The fact that the two are doing EXACTLY the same means the price is a null issue. In other words, they are doing EXACTLY the same. Only an idiot would gloat over the PS3 doing 500,000 units better then the 360. Now, if this guy is right and the PS3 gains 9 million units....well, there ya go.
