I strongly recommend you to buy the 80gig PS3! First of all, the 80gig has the SD cards so you can put in for example the memory stick duo from the PSP and transfer musics and other things. It also has backward capability with PS2 games, the 40gig doesnt have those two features. I got my 60gig for $500 and it has all the features of the 80gig.

Go for the 80gig PS3 even though its $100 more, its worth it.

[QUOTE="meetah13"]I'm saying if you're on a budget in the beginning which games would you have to pick up immediately?Denji

Well if you're just starting out and not enough to get all of them, the logical thing to do is to go with the most popular.

i know, right?

but......i know from experience that when i wanted a ps3 and i had money for it i didnt even want to wait a day to buy it because i just wanted it right away

leave the ps3 on 480i

plug in new t.v

when the ps3 is off

hold the power button for 10 seconds or so, you should hear 2 beeps and by doing this it tells the ps3 to automatically do the best settings

try it.

the missing vent in the front may contribute to that but i highly doubt it as the 40gb should have a 65nm processor which is why sony would remoe it i guess. -run on sentence i know
