You have to give a developer credit for taking on a project whose fans will not be satisfied.

Fallout 2
Amazing game - poorly marketed. If you missed it, I can't blame you. However, even today, it is worth playing.

Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station
I played through it hoping the hint of genius seen in the rest of the game would eventually shine through. It didn't.

Easily in the top 10 games of the decade if not all time. This is how RPGs are supposed to be done.
