2 new games

Last Thursday (13th November), I gave the local shop a call in the morning hoping that they got the Wrath of the Lich King, thankfully, they had! I've made all the way to that shop, and it turned out that one of my colleagues also wanted to get the same game, so I've registered 2 copies of the game so that he can pick up his copy as well once we meet in the shop.

I thought that it was time for me to get a new PS3 game as well since I've only had 4 PS3 games, I've checked around the shelf and could find many interesting games, like Fallout 3, Bioshock, SM Web of Shadows, Oblivion....etc. I've ended up with 2 choices, either Fallout 3 or Oblivion. I've heard more about Oblivion than Fallout 3, however, when I asked the cashier, he said I should take Fallout 3 because it's better, even though I haven't seen anyone who played both saying that Fallout 3 is better, but in within 5 secs, I knew why he recommended me to buy Fallout 3....

I've just flipped both boxes to check the prices and I've found out that Fallout 3 was more expensive than Oblivion by an amount almost equal to 60% of Oblivion's cost, but in the end, me and my colleague came out of the shop with 2 games in my packet, and they were....

Don't mind the quality, it was taken by phone :P

Yups, thanks to a friend of my colleague, he recommended me to play Oblivion instead of Fallout 3, I even asked several people here on Gamespot about which one they think is better and I got much more positive views towards Oblivion than Fallout 3. Also, just yesterday morning, I've played Oblivion for like an hour and I must say that I feel that I've made the right choice. So thanks to all who have helped me in choosing Oblivion if you're reading this blog :)

Arrows or letters

The story goes that last Wednesday (Remember the 5th of November) I've planned to renew my driver's license as there was only 6 days remaining before its expiry date, so I've visited the department and they asked me to take an eye test before they renew the license for me. That's not a problem since there was an eye tester nearby.

The guy in there was young and in a white coat. I could tell from his face that he didn't like his job, but rather it either seemed like he was working for a piece of paper that starts with the letter "M" or he was asked to work in a day that he wasn't supposed to, but anyways, he took me to that private room where they test your eyes, and god, you won't believe what I saw on that testing screen.....It showed some arrows, not letters!

The arrows were small enough that I could only see dots on that screen, and he said "So tell me, what direction does this arrow point?". I could only see a dot, so I kept guessing, like "Up, down, right....etc". He ended up saying "You need new glasses before renewing your license." I wasn't in the mood to pay for new glasses for the sake of some arrows, so I went to another eye tester who wasn't too far from the department. These guys showed letters on the screen and...I passed the test easily and smoothly! I even got my license renewed without paying for new glasses.

So take my advice, brother/sister, whenever you want to get your eyes tested, avoid the places where they show arrows on the screen, these guys just want to increase the chances for you to pay money for new glasses even if your eyes are in good shape. The boards you see on the roads while driving will NEVER show small arrows, but they do show small letters at times, so eye testers have to test how far you can see small letters, not arrows.

Broken :(

As I was sleeping, I've heard a "DUM!" sound right beside me, after I looked there, I've noticed that all my college books fell down on my bed-side table. This wasn't actually a problem because I could simply get up, put the books back in their places, and sleep again, but I've remembered that I've left my glasses on that table before sleeping! After I took out the books, this is what happened to them:

Well, at least I got a spare one until I get this one fixed. Also learned a lesson not to keep anything so light or sensitive in an open area :P

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath review is here

I've finished reviewing the Tiberium Wars expansion, so incase you would like to hear about my thoughts or recommendations on it, feel free to check it out :)

Got them!

Yups, I should have said this earlier but hey, I was so busy since last month. Taking summer courses plus working on other projects can be tiring tasks indeed, but anyways, my point here is that......I've finally got myself a PS3 plus the games that I was dreaming to play them :D

I already had DMC4 and AC before I got the system, although as u can c from the picture (Don't mind the quality of the picture, was taken by a really old phone :P), the system came with a GT5 Prologue inside it, I even found MGS4 on the shelf (The special/collector's addition or whatever was a bit expensive) so I took the normal one, splitting them up with the bros. I assigned myself to play DMC4, younger bro to play AC and elder bro to play GT5 Prologue. MGS4 was saved for the last. We will play the other 3 games as well of course, just we need to finish the games that we signed ourselves to play first :P

I got the system on Monday 16th of June as far as I could remember, still, proud enough that my wait for the system since January was truly worthwhile (Big money saving as well).
