Lots of manga!

My collection is growing quickly! My recent buys are Inuyasha volume 5, Ranma 1/2 volumes 1 and 2, Maison Ikkoku volume 2, and Saikano volume 1. Ranma 1/2 is a great series, it's very funny! I haven't gotten to read Saikano yet, but the story sounds intriguing...

Maison Ikkoku

I recently began adamantly collecting volumes of Inuyasha (the manga i mean....), and it has really turned into an obsession! I was on the fence when it came to manga for a long time, but I finally took the plunge, and im glad that I did! I knew I would like Inuyasha because ive been watching the anime adamantly for a year now. Its cool to see the story in its original context, and I love the artwork. At the end of each volume there is an editors recommendation page, and as I was reading that I discovered an interesting looking series from the creator of Inuyasha (Rumiko Takahashi), called Maison Ikkoku. It seemed there was a consensus that this was her best work, so I wanted to check it out. I bought volume one the other day, and im glad that I did! Maison Ikkoku is about the residents of an apartment house in modern day Japan. Its not action oriented like Inuyasha, but its hilarious and sweet, and its just a great story in general. It was a reminder that this art form is about more then intense fight sequences, and I cant wait to read more! I highly recommend this series to all you manga fans out there:) Im still new to manga, but I think this will surely become one of my favorites!

Hope you all had a good Father's Day...

Me and my sister got our dad a keychain with our pictures etched into the metal. I think he liked it:D. Ive been doing pretty well in my classes; I got A's on my last paper and my last test. Ill be done after this week, and then ill have more me time. Vagrant Story is going well so far, I think I finally have the right idea as far as the weapon systems concerned...meanwhile Final Fantasy two is starting to drive me a little crazy, so I might take a break from that for awhile...I borrowed Megaman Zero 2 from my cousin, but I know that this is a hard series so im not sure how ill do...im glad he lets me borrow his stuff sometimes since I don't have much cash at the moment and when I do buy stuff I prefer to add to my growing Manga collection:). Im planning to get my blog going again, and when I do ill post the link, so feel free to check it out when I do. See ya...

been gone awhile...

My summer classes have been brutal. Math has never been my best subject and now im going through the same amount of material in less time...it takes almost all of my time to keep up. At least my other class is going well; Critical Thinking is the first philosophy class ive ever taken and im actually doing ok so far...adult swim on Saturday is a great reward for getting through the week, im really glad there devoting a whole night to anime again! New Inuyashas are an obvious draw, but I also like Samurai Champloo (spelling?) and Paranoia agent. As for games I finished rikus story on chain of memories and im currently playing through Final Fantasy 2. Im planning to try to play Vagrant Story again soon...hopefully ill get through it this time! Ill have a lot more free time on my hands when my classes are over later this month...

as if I wasnt poor enough...

The other day I was sorting through all of the different Manga we sell at our campus bookstore. I bought volume one of Inuyasha. I love the anime, and it was nice to see the story in its original (I think...) context. Of course now I want to buy more volumes of it which should cost me quite a bit, but im earning my own income now so I think I deserve it:P. In less then half an hour one of the coolest movies ever, Metropolis, is coming on Adult Swim so im definitely going to go watch! I should enjoy myself now because next week is going to be hectic, between work, summer classes, and the usual daily errands...but I suppose thats just life! When I get my next paycheck im gonna pick up Inuyasha volume 2, and maybe a new game...probably either suikoden 4 or Lunar Legend for my gba if I ever get through Riku's story on Chain of Memories...any way see ya for now! Im off to watch an awesome movie:)

So...who else hates moving?

Sorry for the long absence, ive been rather busy lately. Finals are over now, but I had to pack up all my stuff and move out of my building. You never realize how much useless crap you own until your forced to sort through it all...:? Work has been keeping me very busy as well. Ive earned a couple of paychecks, and I cant wait to buy some stuff that I want. I want to buy Suikoden four for my ps2, and while im at work I think I might look through some manga. Ive always liked Manga but ive never been able to really afford it before. It took awhile but I finally beat Chain of Memories! Now im playing the game as Riku (which is just awesome!!). Im playing my gba way more then my ps2 lately, I guess im just more interested in those games right now...anyway things are going great, im looking forward to a great summer, and to playing some new games and having fun:D

nothing like a little manuel labor...

All I ever get to do at the bookstore is pack books into cardboard boxes and stack them. Its really boring and I get pretty tired...I never want to go to the gym anymore, im way to tired by the time im done with work. I should ask if I can have some of those boxes, since im supposed to be out of my dorm room by 5 pm on Friday, and I have nothing to pack my stuff in. Ive got to study for a final tonight, so im looking at a really boring evening. I think im almost finished with Chain of Memories so I might squeeze some time in for that, even though I really shouldn't:P

Overload...

Things have been hectic lately...ive got finals next week so im rushing to prepare. Ive started my new bookstore job and its taking up a lot of my time, plus this happens to be the busiest time of the year, since everyone is selling their textbooks back. So im learning to balance work and classes, plus I have to move out next week! Despite this stress I still find time to play games...I cant believe how long Ratchet and Clank is, I feel like ive been playing forever and im still not at the end...ive reached the Hoven stage, with no end in sight! I will be able to buy new games soon:)!

Chain of Memories

Im hooked to this game. It's pretty much all ive played the last couple of days. Not only am I dying to see the Kingdom Hearts plot continue but I really like this combat system. I would even say it's better then the combat in the console game because you actually use strategy, you don't just mash X. It reminds me of how much I was riveted to Baten Kaitos before my gamecube broke. I guess this means I like card combat...I like customizing decks etc. If I ever get a psp I should look into Metal Gear Acid.

New Games

Im borrowing a couple of new games from my cousin (well there new to me anyway). I finally get to see what happens next in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. I also borrowed the first sly cooper. I love cel shading, its like a guaranteed way to get beautiful graphics.
