"I fear that we may lose many of our freedoms if Obama gets elected and our country would turn into another Socialist western country."

Currently I can be locked up without due process and without speaking to an attorney for an undetermined amount of time.

I'll take goverment healthcare for $200 Alex.

I'm honestly interested to hear why that would happen to you.

It could happen to anybody, it's called the "Patriot Act" brought to you in part by George W. and the republican posse.

Obama voted for the Patriot Act.........

Obama and McCain are Osame and McSame. Look at the other candidates other than these corporate candidates. Obama and McCain are being bribed in exchange to help them be president. Doesnt anybody notice that they have raised an insane amount of money? People dont give you money for free. They are called bribes.

yes, the Patriot Act and the Bailout Plan are two of the most socialist pieces of legislation to come out of an administration in a long time. It would take a radical shift, like bringing in Ron Paul to change the course of things to come. I'm just as scared with McCain in office as I am Obama, each for different reasons....

If only Free Trade, and liberty could truly reign in the US.

Unfortunately capitalistic greed + No corporate liability or control requires the government to step in for the sake of the nation. I agree that Ron Paul is not a bad canditate, but unfortunately a vote for an independant is going to be wasted. :?

Thats the problem with this country. An independant vote is a waste so you would rather vote for one of 2 evil than to vote for who is right. Its like a political bandwagon. Be a citizen and vote for who is right not for who you think is going to win.

Well, I'm thinking of buying a new electric guitar, plain an' simple. The problem is I don't really know that much about the technical side of guitars. When people start talking about different features and pickups and tone knobs and stuff, I'm pretty much lost. So I'm wondering if there are any good websites that you know of that could give me some info to help me out in this department (or maybe you could give me some help/advice yourself?). A new guitar shop opened up very close to my house, and they seem to have great prices so I figure this would be a good time to upgrade. From the guitars that they had up on the wall, I was looking at this one Jackson Randy Rhoads guitar, and some Les Paul guitars. But yeah, I mean, I really have no idea what makes one guitar more expensive than the other (just to show how much of a n00b I am lol).

In case you're wondering, I believe I started playing guitar approximately 3 years ago. My piano teacher played guitar on the side, but wasn't really sure if he was good enough to actually charge for lessons, so he just gave me some free guitar "lessons." This gave me a great start, but I stopped taking lessons after a while (around 2 years ago) to concentrate on other things, and just pretty much played on my own between then and now. Over the last year, I've really been getting into all kinds of new metal and it has really fueled my urge to improve even more. Right now I have a Fender Starcaster. So yeah, that's where I stand right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just bought my first electric in July and the best advice I can give you is to go to the shops and test them out. See what sound you are looking for and ask as many questions as possible. Dont be shy to ask questions since that is the best way you will learn about guitars. I went to the shops spoke to a few guys and then spoke with some musician friends. With all that info I decided on my purchase I am satisfied. Take your time and learn what you are buying and why you want it. Also look up the musician you like to listen too and if you like those sounds then research what type of equipment they use. It is all about what you like to hear yourself play.

I'm getting sick of people saying that we need change and therefore you should vote for Obama. I agree that we do need change, but not the kind of change Obama wants. In fact, Obama is the one who wants to continue with the fiscal policies of George Bush. He wants to increase taxes, expand the size of the government, socialize medicine, and basically do everything he can to turn the United States into another European liberal nanny state. Is this the kind of change Americans want? I love the United States, but I would never want this country to turn into another Sweeden. The U.S. seems to be one of the last countries were citizens can at least make some choices without the government interposing, such as choosing health care plans. I fear that we may lose many of our freedoms if Obama gets elected and our country would turn into another Socialist western country.bungie93

There is only one real change and that if people actually looked into Ralph Nader. Obama has no change but is using that term to selling himself since Bush is looked at for doing such a terrible job. The terrible job has been done by both the republicans and the democratics. Obama and McCain is like Pepsi or Coke, the taste different but they are still the same thing.

Call it whatever you want but what happened is terrible and only going to make everybody work harder.

I accept your point that it will have to be paid in taxes, but there was no other option- it was a bailout or economic collapse. My argument is people are throwing the term 'socialism' around without knowing what it means. It's being used to scare Americans into thinking this bailout is something it is definately not.

I am pretty sure there were other options. But it turned out to be a necessary evil. The banks just pulled a fast one on everybody and are laughing. Taxes will definately go up in time and I believe inflation will increase fast. You say economic collapse but how do you know that? That is what they scared us into thinking. Look all this happened within a couple of weeks when this has been trouble for the past 3 years. They pulled a fast one and the only people who are going to hurt are the working class. The American is being pushed too hard. Push too hard and they will push back harder.

It would have been economic collapse: the banks had no confidence- they didn't want to lend to each other, if they don't lend to each other then they don't lend to the consumer. Without loans then markets collapse. [this is the problem in Britain and im assuming the principle still holds].

Yeah but that means the banks have us by the balls.

Vote for McCain if you want more of this, which is bad because Bush left our country in ruins, this bill only helps those greedy people who are to blame for this crisis, this money should of been given to the people of the United States, the people who are being hurt from it.knightsofwar

You mean Vote McCain or Obama if you want more of this. They were both for it. Nader sounds better everyday.
