True. But like I said, I dont rely on the government for anything and dont want to. That would mean that I cant take care of myself.

metroidfood

Yes you do. You rely on them whether you want to or not.

Well, maybe if you moved out into the wilderness and became a hermit... but then I highly doubt you get internet out there.

No I dont. Because if things got out of control in this country I could always go somewhere else. If you notice that people need the government for everything. People cant even go to their next door neighbor and tell him to put the music down. Instead they call the police to handle the situation for them. Somebody blasted their music late at night I would band on their door and tell them myself. That is called having a relationship with your neighbor.

Ever driven somewhere? It's a good thing the government provided and maintains the road for you.

There's a whole host of other services, some that impact you directly and some indirectly, but they all allow people to go about their daily business without the country falling apart. Just because you could go somewhere else doesn't mean you don't rely on the many services the government provides in order to live here.

Even if the road wasnt there I would still get to where I need to go. I know I use services of theirs but that doesnt mean I rely on them. I dont blame them for anything that has happen in my life because there is nothing I depend on.

While having Muslim faith may not be bad, lying about being Christian is.

If someone claims to be Christian, and they are pro-choice, they are not Christian. It comes down to the fundamental issue of 'sanctity of life'.

Therefore, if Obama is pro-choice, he is not a Christian.

Mr_sprinkles

I was always under the impression that christian meant believing that christ was the son of god who died for our sins.

Heck, there are even catholics that are pro choice.

what does being prochoice or not have to do anything with how our country runs? It is the same arguement over and over and over again and nothing is ever done about it. Abortion will happen no matter what and that is a Fact. Nobody has made a law against abortion and probably never will. How about, what in the world can these guys do to raise employment and create better lifestyles for everybody. Its good to have a job but it sucks to have to kill yourself everyday to live. Would everybody be happier spending more time with your friends and family than at work?

And how is this good for the USA? He voted for Bail out so i dont like him. Middle class this middle class that but the taxes will still go up no matter what. Too much money is coming out of the federal reserve to not raise taxes. Yes, the rich will get taxes a higher percentage but taxes will go up on everybody. We need a good economic president right now and not some guy talking about change without showing how he is going to change anything or what he really is going to change. Dont worry McCain is just as bad. Either way we are screwed and my advice is dont rely on the Government for anything and that is why I do not vote. No vote no reason to complain except to myself.

Well, apparently the bailout was a necessary evil...but I do agree with you that govt. can't really be relied on. I don't trust politicians. That being said, I distrust the Dems less than I hate the repukes.

tocklestein2005

This is what I dont understand, if you dont trust either one of them why vote for them. Like the guy above said vote 3rd party. Vote for who you know is right not for who you think is going to win. Nader is the only one to call out these crooks on wallstreet but nobody even looks that direction. I watched the debate just to see who these guys really were but it is still the same BS and neither one of them could make a good arguement for what is good for the economy. All they did is dance around the questions. Neither of these 2 should be president.

You have a valid point...and I guess I'm just as much a sheep as any other in that regard since I KNOW (no poll results necessary) that no 3rd party candidate will win. Not in this election or any in the forseeable future. I agree though that America needs more than 2 major parties. If I thought there was a chance someone else moreexoerienced or better for America then I would vote for them. But voting for 3rd party now is just a waste, might as well not even vote.

But you might as well not even vote if you are not voting for who you believe is right. It doesnt matter if he wins or not, its about making the choice you feel is right and it shouldnt be based on anything else. You will not lose anything by voting for the candidate that is right.

I might agree that Obama is not a communist or a socialist, but he is a Muslim.

The Muslim faith goes against the core values the United States was founded on, however.

tocklestein2005

I demand actual proof that he is a Muslim. And even if he is, why should that matter? Banning abortion and removing the rights of homosexuals is a mixture of church and state, the opposite of why this country was founded. My nicest teacher this year is Muslim, does that mean she's a bad person? No. There are different levels of belief, and you're really stereotyping. People need to learn to accept others.

I agree with what you just said but deep in his roots there is Muslim in someway and dont forget that this country is at war with Muslim countries. I think that is reason enough. If I were to vote my voting order would be Nader then McCain then nobody else. Even if it is the slightest touch of muslim in him, it is already too much just because of how the situation is with the wars. Just some reality info. Plus he voted for bail out which I believe all Americans got screwed by the banks.

Not voting for someone because of a religion? The only Muslims we're combating are the extremists. Any extremist of any religion is a bad thing, so all you're doing is falling for the propaganda started by Republicans. Not all Muslims are bad, I know many very nice Muslims. This is just baseless hatred and distrust based on prejudice.

Thank you...BAAAA! BAAAA!

I never said Obama is a bad person but it just sends the wrong message across the country and brings anger.

Why not vote 3rd party? If everyone who didn't vote just went 3rd party maybe someone who isn't from the Dem/Rep parties would win once in a while.

No way. I'm not about to let some hockey mom with a journalism degree be president of the united states.

Would you rather have Karl Marx with a law degree?

If those were my choices, yes.

You clearly have never read the constitution...

How does your conclusion follow from that? Please be as specific as possible.

Anybody who knows anything about the constitution would know that marxism =/= constitutional.

Ron Paul would of been a good candidate for the people but thats not what will win the election.
