I am an athiest muslim, LJS9502_basic

Is that possible? A Muslim is a follower of the Islam religion. If you are an atheist...how can you be Muslim?

Well technically I am registered as a Muslim and I was born to muslim parents, personally I don't believe in god, but I don't get why I cannot be a Muslim culturally but an athiest in relation to belief in god, we consider Einstien Jewish but he was also an athiest.

[QUOTE="barabadwan"]To all the people who claim terrorists plan on destroying America because they consider them infidels can go get their facts straight.I am a muslim Arab and I have been living in an Arabic country my whole life, I go to school with christians and my best friends are christians and the reasons we hate America is because of its' foreign policy not because of its "freedom, or the liberities you represent" Most if not all organizations work against America for the same reason, if we truly did have a problem with Christians or Athiests why don't the terrorists attack France or China or Russia? Why aren't they considered infidels? Why isn't the secular government of Syria considered an enemy? You can get alcohol in Syria, go out with women publically, yet these fundmentalist muslim extremist don't consider them infidels, could be because they are actually opposed to the American foreign policy of imperialism, war and occupation? chesterocks7

Ok are you a muslim or are you a terrorist? We know why foreigners hate America. We also know why terrorists hate America, and they are two very different reasons. Terrorist hatred of America is very well known, because they make it well known. I have a very hard time believing who you claim to be because you are so blatantly ignorant about terrorists beliefs.

I am an athiest muslim, and no I am in no way a terrorist, I have never killed innocent people, however being the son of a Palestinian refugee I understand what it means to want to fight against occupation, and when someone is faced with an enemy so strong they resort to desperation. It is your understanding of terrorist beliefs that is ignorant, based on right wing media portrayl and shows like 24. You didn't answer my question, why hasn't Al-Qaeda attacked France? why has it singled out America and its allies who agree with its' foreign policy? Terrorism is political it isn't idealogical, wake up my friend.

The fact is the workers that are pouring in their whole effort into companies to keep their jobs don't usually end up multi-billionaires. The CEO of those corporations sit around getting rich off other people's work. Before you attack me about how they made their own way in life, don't forget that society is what made them what they are. For someone to make it buisness doesn't mean that they work hard, it means that they are able to maximize profits and decrease costs which ends up trampling all over the work force. It simply isn't true that the rich get rich from their own sweat and hard work, they get rich by being able to exploit other people's hard work and then selling the items they people produced at a profit. It disgusts me how greedy most people are, "MY MONEY" the work force deserve better conditions. I have talked mainly about CEO so some might say "What about doctors who studied hard, shouldn't they be better off than everybody else?" The fact is I want to be a doctor, and the last thing I think about is a high salary. Being a doctor is about helping others, I find it despiciable that healthcare is an industry making a buisness out of people's need and desperation.

Ok, first of all, war in Iraq killed more Iraqi's than Saddam actually did. The Iran-Iraq war some of you blamed on Saddam was actually backed up by America and they funded Saddam with weapons and arms. The WMD's he used, take a guess where he got them from. Also, a lot of people talk about how Saddam unfairly invaded Kuwait trying to take away it's liberty they forget that at the time Kuwait was supposedly stealing oil from Iraq and the Kuwait also had a DICTATOR, but the difference is that he was pro-US while Saddam was more pro-Arab. Many people in Iraq hated Saddam, on the other hand a lot of Egyptians hat Husni Mubarak but yet America hasn't jumped to the rescue. Military intervention in Iraq was not neccessary, the people of Iraq will never accept the US occupation nor the puppet government it sent up. Given a truly democratic election the Arabic Nationalists will be back in power and America would have done all of this for nothing.

Well, look at it from Iran's perspective, theworld's strongest country and the country that has the most nuclear weapons keeps on threatening its' safety and giving weapons to Israel. I know Americans dont like to think of the Iranian government of being legitmate but Ahmadnejad was democratically elected, and obviously Iran's use of weapons against Israel will result in Iran's destruction through America, no Iranian president would do it.

I don't about this, I hated the guy and everything he stood for but I did like the effect he had on gamers. We would all unite against the common enemy. We need a new antagonist.

[QUOTE="barabadwan"]hmm I wonder if that criminal history included stealing a cookie from the cookie jar. They have been looking for that guy for you years now. D3nnyCrane

Unfortunately, the tactic of denying and deflecting may mean this is never solved.

That damned investigation has been going in circles for years now, I am begining to think it may never be solved.

[QUOTE="honkyjoe"]

It has been almost 8 years since we first sent troops into Afghanistan. I think it has been an utter disaster.. If you were Osama Bin Laden I highly doubt that you would linger in an area filled with US and Afghani Troops. I have lost quite a lot of hope when it comes to finding him. I think it is funny that we are still in Afghanistan looking for Osama Bin Laden after 7 years. Didn't they find two of his lieutenants in the Philipines last year? a nation of some 500 small islands? I just think it is ridiculous that we can't find one man after 7 years.. I thought that the US with all its rescources and expertise could locate him by know. I think it is only a matter of time before we get attacked by Al-Qaeda again..

Trashface

Well the title asks about the war on terror, but the polls choices suggest that the topic is just about Bin Laden. the war itself is going alright. Many of the top Taliban have been killed and Taliban money sources were seriously hurt after 911. The Taliban is no longer the ruling government and they've been reduced to cave dwelling guerilla fighters. I don't understand how people can think it's going horribly? Just because Bin Laden hasn't been captured? I think that's kind of naive. Maybe people listen to the media too much.

Well it isn't really called the War on Taliban is it? It is called the War on Terror and I can tell you, 100% that the war on terror has created more enemies of the West and has made Islamic extremism much more popular in the Middle East. This is coming from and athiest ex-muslim living in the region, nothing has aided the cause (not the organization) of Taliban and Al Qaeda more than the war on terror.
