Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Review

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Directed by Michael Bay, Starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

..........................................................................................................

So I went to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with a friend who had two free IMAX passes. The reason I went? Well, it was IMAX and it was free. Little did I know that the free pass would be a blessing in disguise...

Michael Bay brings the boom boom pow in his latest blockbuster... because, well, that's all he really knows how to do. I'll give in and say the cinematography was decent, but that's pretty much all the positive I have to say about him and his crew. If you're looking for 146 [or so] minutes of mindless, senseless explosions and gunfire, then this movie is for you and Michael Bay doesn't disappoint. But for Bay, explosions are the only thing he focused in this story-less film. Seriously... Robot Heaven? The film was a dreadful adventure filled with poor acting (I'm looking at you Megan Fox), gaudy dialogue (*Autobot kills a Decepticon* Autobot: Damn, I'm good), and not to mention the length of the film is agonizing.

The film introduces two new characters: Leo, Sam's conspiracy-obsessed roommate, and Alice, a sexy Pretender Decepticon, who probably gives us one of the funniest moments in the film. Seriously, the Pretender Decepticon is very laughable. I mean, it's a metal tail coming out of her ass!

Unfortunately, gaudy dialogue, crappy jokes, and explosions do not make films great, instead it makes them into typical, horrible Hollywood blockbusters. The film has three positives: 1) Megan Fox looks amazing on IMAX; 2) The film will look amazing on Blu-Ray; and 3) Thank god for John Turturro.

Final Words: Thank heavens it was a free pass and I did not have to spend any of my own money to see it.

Facebook

So a while back I created a Facebook, and I like it better than Myspace a lot. So, if you have one and if you want, feel free to add me.

Oh, and don't let my picture scare you, I'm a really nice guy :)

Cobra Starship's new album!!!!

I'm excited beyond words :D

Cobra Starship's new album is now called Hot Mess and it is set to come out August 1st! I'm very excited. I bought their single on iTunes last night. I love it, it's called "Good Girls Go Bad." The only thing I didn't like is that this album will have songs produced by Patrick Stump and I HATE Fall Out Boy. He was probably the main reason why I didn't really like Gym CIass Heroes' The Quilt, since he was a producer, but Cool & Dre produced the rest of the tracks, and they are the better ones.

So, first it's Cobra Starship's Hot Mess and then Paramore's untitled album :D It's gonna be a long summer before they come out

a quick question and a little randon fact

Seriously, am I really the only one who wants to punch these kind of people in the face? I don't know what it is, but I just want to knock this guy out

Also, I've been getting into the Kings of Leon lately.

They're pretty cool. There's something about Caleb's vocals that have me hooked on them, and the lyrics are awesome too. I don't know why I didn't start listening to them sooner.

My Music Phase - April Edition!: The Strokes, Paramore, and Jurassic 5

Well, we all know about music phases. You probably are in one right now where you cannot spot listening to a particular artist or band.

Mine currently for the month of April (so far) are:

The Strokes. I've loved The Strokes for a long time, since Is This It came out, but recently, I've been listening to them a lot, especially Room on Fire. I love Julian's voice, and the way it sounds as if you're hearing him from a phone. Fab's drumming is great, and so is Nick and Albert's guitar. Is This It and Room on Fire are great albums, but I cannot pick a favorite. First Impressions of Earth was okay, not as good as the others.

My favorite songs:

Automatic Stop
Trying Your Luck
Meet Me In the Bathroom
Barely Legal

Paramore. I've been in this phase for a few months now. I've never given them a chance, kept saying to myself "they probably suck." Well, I played Guitar Hero IV, and their song "Misery Business." The song was pretty cool (although I've found better ones). So then I went to Best Buy and they didn't have Riot!, they instead had The Final Riot! I got that, and it was amazing. They can really play live. Hayley Williams is an amazing singer. I ended up getting Riot! a few weeks later and it was amazing too. All We Know is Falling, their first album, is good too but they evolved a whole lot since then.

My favorite songs:
For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic
When It Rains
Fences
Let The Flames Begin

Jurassic 5. Not much to say. I don't really know that much about the group, because I'm just getting into them. I picked up Feedback and so far I like it. My brother has Power in Numbers, so I didn't have to buy that and I love that album. I'll probably end up picking up Quality Control soon.

My favorite songs:
Radio
What's Golden
After School Special

That's it. I'll be back next month with a whole new music phase.
