Hey I have just installed the newest nvidia 181.22 drivers and the asus OSD drivers (newest ones) and upon restart my computer takes a ridiculas amount of time to shut down around 5 minutes. Then the bios freezes and i cant select any options in the bios what so ever. I tried removing my battery, unplugging the computer even got a different keyboard with the ps2 connector. I cannot get past the bios screen even if i put in the OS disc i cannot boot into it.

I have tried waiting for the bios to progress however it just freezes. I was thinking it is most likely the mobo however if anyone has any ideas what i could do hlp me get bios working i would be most greatful. Thank you!

Hello,
I am having problems with my SLI config of two 9600 gt. I have previously used a single Asus 9600 gt and in crysis warhead at Enthusiast settings at 1680x1050 i had an averge of 19-20 fps and in farcry 2 everything on maximum and AAx2 i am getting around 25-30fps. However when i installed the second 9600 gt (exact same card) I am still getting bascially the same fps and sometimes they get even worse. I tried the 3dmark06 BEFORE i installed the second gpu and had a score of 11000 and then after i installed the second gpu i got a score of 14500. I have enabled SLI in the nvidia control, i have attached the SLI bridge and on my mobo (asus P5N-E Sli) i have also set the little red card to two vga cards. So does anyone have any idea what my fps in crysis warhead and farcry 2 are the same and sometimes even worse when i put the cards in SLI? i have updated all my nforce drivers and the geforce drivers as well.

my specs are;
Core 2 duo E6850 3.0GHz @3.3Ghz
2 Gig DDR2 ram @880Mhz
2 x Asus 9600 gt in SLI
Windows XP SP3

Thank you!

Hey,

I just got a second gpu (9600 gt) and put in it sli. However when i played crysis warhead i didnt notice any difference in the fps. Originally when i had only one 9600 gt i was getting 19 fps in Enthusiast at 1680x1050 and im still getting about the same with two 9600 gt cards. I have enabled sli in the nvidia control and i even tried to see if the sli worked in 3dmark06 and there was a massive difference from when i had one. So could anyone please tell me why this is, my second though was that my ram is a bottleneck for the pc.

my specs:

E6850 core 2 duo 3.0ghz @3.3ghz

2 Gig ram @88oMHz

Asus P5N-E SLI

2 x asus 9600 gt

Windows XP SP3

Any help would be awesome, thank you!

Hey,

I am deciding whether or not I should buy a 280 gtx for my computer. However my computers hardware isn't that great and I was thinking the slow cpu might be a bottleneck for the computer. The other option is just to wait and see what happens

My computer:

Core 2 Duo E6850 3ghz @ 3.3 ghz

2GB DDR2 800mhz RAM @ 880 mhz

9600 gt 512mb gpu

Windows xp SP3

Thank you
