I'm Almost Back...

It has been crazy the last month, but there will be a blog post in the next few days.
Nightfall Has Come
by bastila19 on Comments
Recently I gust bought Guild Wars: Nightfall and it is a ton of fun. Right now, I'm a level 11 Elementalist/Mesmer and I just finished beating Apocrypha for the main story quest. I'm planning on gettting Prophecies in the near future for the purest Guild Wars experience according to many websites. I'm not so eager to buy Factions because I'm not really into PvP (never tried it actually). PvE is more my kind of game. I'll end up buying it eventually. That's all I've really been playing, so I'll see you all later.
P.S. If you like Guild Wars, buy PC Gamer magazine in May for this:

Odd Cravings?!?
by bastila19 on Comments
These past few weeks I've had an odd craving for some older games. This week I picked up Psychonauts and Advent Rising. Psychonauts is awesome. Right now I'm working my way through the Asylum collecting brains on my way to Doctor Loboto. It is truly sad that it didn't sell well and put Majesco in a deep hole. Another game that was very underrated everywhere except for us few loyal faithful is one of my new favorite games, Advent Rising. I'm at the very early beginning I just landed in the desert place. Its part one of a trilogy. Too bad the trilogy won't happen (if it will ever happen) for a long, long, time. Since A.R. didn't sell well either, it didn't give Majesco a reason to continue the trilogy. Now the developer, Glyphx Games, is closed and the founders of it (the Mustard bros.) joined a new development studio. Bad news is that Majesco still owns the rights to the A.R. franchise, so the Mustard bros. would have to pay a ton to get the license which they are not in a great position to do right now. That really sucks. There was even a PSP game in the works but that was cancelled, too. So hopefully someday the trilogy will be completed. Oh and another thing...MICROSOFT GET THIS ON THE BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY LIST ALREADY! Anyway, planning on getting The Matrix Path of Neo pretty soon. I think that's it for now. See you later.
Oblivion on Crackdown
by bastila19 on Comments
These last couple of weeks, I dusted off Oblivion and tried to finish off the achievements which were to beat the mages and thieves guilds. Luckily I wasn't very far off on either one of them. I had two ranks left to go in the thieves guild and two ranks left to go in the mages guild. So I got that done...um...oh yeah, I almost forgot. CRACKDOWN! Anyone who is unsure about to get this game or not, get it. It is so worth it. I got it on launch day and have played a buttload of it. Right now I am about a centimeter away from four stars in agility, three stars in explosives, two stars in driving, four stars in strength, and three stars in shooting. I have to agree with Jeff that it is kinda shallow and there is not a bunch of stuff to do. But after you defeat all three gangs, on the main menu is an option to turn all on gangs so there are actually people to fight. Anyway, Crackdown worth sixty bucks. And Oblivion SHIVERING ISLES coming out at the end of March I think, which I'm getting not only for the thirty plus extra hours of promised gameplay, but for the extra two-hundred fifty achievement points. That's all for now. See you later!
Handhelds!
by bastila19 on Comments
Hey everybody! Its been awhile, but I'm back. Lately, its been handhelds, handhelds, handhelds for me. On PSP I've been playing World Tour Soccer (after all this time I still love that game), Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee, and most of all Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. I highly recommend all of those games, especially Lenneth. On the DS its been all Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All. I just finished the last case this morning. That was crazy! I highly recommend Phoenix Wright as well. I'm gonna go fall asleep during class so I'll catch everyone later!
P.S. Rock Chalk Jayhawk, KU!

This One Has To Be Cut Short
by bastila19 on Comments
Hey guys. I've been trying to get a blog post out for awhile but its been kinda crazy around here. Anyway, my big game that I've been playing non-stop the last few weeks is Rainbow Six: Vegas. I am an official Master Seargent online. That's pretty much the only game I've been playing. The guys/girls online in Rainbow Six are pretty nice. I've added thirteen friends just from playing Rainbow Six online. Well I have to go do homework, so I'll catch you all later.
Eventually...

Late For A Reason
by bastila19 on Comments
This is going to be very short because I didn't get to play many video games. My brother and I have played a bunch of franchise Madden for Wii on the same team (one reason because two people can't play on the same team on the Xbox 360 version at once which is stupid). That's pretty much it before going back to my brother and my video game football roots in Madden 64 for the, you guessed it, Nintendo 64. That's pretty much it. The only thing I got for Christmas that was video game related was a wireless Xbox 360 headset. That wraps it up for this week. This will become weekly except I think it might be on Saturdays now. I hope everyone has had a safe and happy holiday season. See you this Saturday.
Blame The Finals!
by bastila19 on Comments
Sorry I missed last week and the week before. Last Friday I was busy with finals, and the week before, I just forgot. I have been able to play some games. I've been progressing through Red Steel (not as bad of a game as the critics say). I'm about 20% through that according to the actual game itself. Besides that I beat Act 3 and 5 with my friend on Gears of War on Insane difficulty which felt pretty good. General RAAM was a bastard though! Grant it, my friend and I were probably doing something wrong, but it took 3 grenades and all 12 torque bow shots. We finally beat him probably on our 10th time, but we beat it and that's all that matters. I'm kinda stuck on Lakebed Temple in LOZ:TP, and I got bored...and got Elebits! Strange...strange game, but fun. I recommend it. It will give you some lasting value through December and the Wii draught until January 15. (FRIGGIN' WARIOWARE: SMOOTH MOVES) Um...what else...played some more Madden for Wii which I still highly recommend (see my review). Uh...OH YEAH! I have been starting to get addicted to making Miis. So far I've made Muhammad Ali, Adam Sandler, Michael Jordan, John Madden and probably some other ones I forgot. I'd like to say thanks to SNOWii who posted a video on Gamevideos.com with how to make a Marcus Fenix Mii which is pretty sweet. I think that's about it for this week. So tomorrow is my last day of school and my last final, so I promise these will start to be weekly. Play some games, have fun, and see you next week! P.S. CHRISTMAS BREAK...HELL YEAH!
