I can see it already. This game will be great, and it will be even more amazing since this was made by a 16 (?) person team. But, like always, people have these crazy expectations that it's going to be a "1000+ hour game" (which it can be if you want) and it's going to be "the greatest game ever". I think the game will definitely be good, but people's expectations are too high, just like for most things.
@tom_cat_01: Just... shut up. Stop talking out of your ass. If you actually put three seconds of research into this, you would know, that you can explore, fight, trade, etc., etc., etc. Kind of like Star Citizen, except with more planets (but also less detail) and without a first person shooter built in.
@louixiii: Yeah. I can't believe how many people treat the Pope like a God. Their religion is fucked up to say the least (different than Christianity). The Pope literally goes around on his "Pope-mobile", waving his magic wand, and going on and on about climate change, and all the sudden he's some sort of God. It's kind of pathetic.
@neurogia: But... we don't? We don't live in a third world country, thankfully. So, what's your argument? We should give up video games, because others are less fortunate than us? Video games are by no means "small and meaningless". It's not just a hobby to many people.
@bfeinberg: SLI does indeed have it's issues. I wouldn't say its worth it at all. Of course my system would be more powerful with another 1070, but with added issues and incompatibilites. Why are you arguing this? It's just plain fact. I imagine the GTX 1080Ti (or whatever they name it), will be able to run current games at 4K and a stable 60FPS, but if someone was willing to settle for something along the lines of 4K 30-45FPS, a 1080 can do that no problem.
Anyway, the point is, SLI/Crossfire has it's issues and incompatibilites. Sure, you get a more powerful system, but not without it's downsides.
@deathwish026: Huh? How? Sony's plan, as I see it, is continuing as they have been doing, making a new console, basically an upgraded PS4, with PS4 backwards compatibility. As for the future, maybe release a new console every two or three years, with infinite backwards compatibility, and one unified PSN. Or maybe things will revert back to normal, and this generation is an exception. As for the Xbox division, and Microsoft, who knows. There is the PC platform involved, so things get complicated. Will the Xbox as a console eventually run something like Steam? How unified will PC and Xbox gaming really become? What about cross platform multiplayer between PC and Xbox? There are far more questions, that haven't been answered.
