Scene One ~Vash is in a bar looking all cool and calm... ~Men in the bar are talking about him... not knowing that he\'s listening in... ~Out of nowhere a giant boomarang cuts the bar in two and a sign flys up and lands hard into the ground. ~ In the midst of the dust and rubble flying everywhere, men that surrounded the front side of the bar start shooting inside, what reason? Rumors of the Humanoid Typhoon. ~As soon as the dust starts to part, the men all stop shooting and a monsterous man, named Descrates, grabbs hold of the giant metal boomarang that he threw. ~There\'s a long pause... then from behind the sign that fell, Vash the Stampede puts down a drink calmly and stands up. He draws his gun smoothly and points it at the men. Scene Two ~Milly and Meryl are in a bar sipping on a sundae and tea when they ask the bartender about who Vash the Stampede is. (The reason they are looking for him is because they work for an insurance company ad they need to keep him under 24 hour survalence because of all the things that get blown up around him) ~The bartender tells them that Vash is a tall man with short legs, a mohawk, and a huge metal weapon. Scene Three ~Vash is under the sand with a straw in his mouth to breathe when he grabs one of Descates\' henchmen and knocks him out. ~Flashback Moment: After pointing the gun at the men, (in scene one) Vash pulls the triger on the gun to find that there was no bullets. He runs away like a maniac dodging lotsa lotsa bullets. ~End Flashback ~After this, Vash has a little happy and polite converstion with the guy he knocked out, (even though the man had a gun pointed to his back) ~They\'re caught by Descrates and the henchman is severally wounded. ~Then Vash is caught and tied up. Scene Four ~Milly and Meryl are riding (I think they\'re called Jordans... can\'t remember) out into the dessert where Vash is rumored to be. **they still think that Vash looks like the description of Descrates... just so you know** ~Then they meet up with Descrates and his henchmen with Vash the real Vash tied up and against a stone. ~They offer Descrates a box of doughnuts but he\'s stunned (but doesn\'t say anything) that they think he\'s the legendary gunslinger. ~Then a bounty hunter named Ruth appears on the scene and all hell breaks loose. **Ruth thinks Descrates is Vash, Milly and Meryl think Descrates is Vash, Descrates is having his doubts about the real Vash and thinks its Ruth...yada yada yada...** ~Then M&M are riding away and Vash is running along side them with the box of doughnuts they brought. Meryl gives Vash $$10 to go warn the town about Descrates (who they STILL think is Vash) ~Then M&M go back to try and negotiate with Descrates (still thinking that he\'s Vash the two stupids) to come and find that Ruth and Descrates are talking calmly together. They agree that they were both mistaken and knew the real Vash was the real Vash. ~They tie up Milly and Meryl and it looks like Descrates is about to rape them, when a stray bullet hits the ropes and cuts them down. They see that it\'s the real Vash and he\'s come to help them. ~Then Descrates and Ruth have Vash cornered tthe peak of a huge cliff. ~Descrates throws his boomarang and Vash dodges and jams something on D\'s side. ~ Then Vash turns to look at Ruth and tries to warn him but alas... he\'s hit with the stray boomarang. ~Then a bomb goes off and the cliff begins to fall. No one is killed... just injured. Scene Five ~Meryl is typing on a typewriter about what happened and she is forced to pay all the insurance bills. (the town was crushed but Vash had already warned them)

Before the title of the episode appears, we see a tall man standing at the edge of a cliff and looking downwards to what he calls "his kingdom." He pulls out a sword and points it to the sunset.
The entire KenshinGumi, Ayame and Suzume has arrived to Izu in order to take a small vacation from their busy everyday lives. Their hostess for this well-deserved holiday is Dr. Genzai's sister Hana, who looks exactly like the doctor himself (I know... It scared me too...) Halfway to Hana's place, the KenshinGumi makes a stop at Yutaro's mansion. Yutaro is a young boy about Yahiko's age. He lost his parents without ever knowing them and was given practically all of Izu when he was 5 years old.
Inside the mansion, the group is amazed by the sheer size of the place. Before they can say anything, Yutaro pops out of a room, Yelling at one of his servants. He demands to begin and learn kenjutsu immediately with an instructor that would be as powerful as his late father. Yutaro then notices the group and greets them hello, saying that they could stay as long as they want. After being told about Kenshin's strength, Yutaro decides to test his abilities. He takes them all to a large room and asks Kenshin to cut down a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, saying that his father could do it easily by the time he was 15. Kenshin smiles and politely rejects the offer, even though Yutaro tries to persuade him with various gifts. Annoyed with Yutaro's attempts to buy Kenshin with money, Yahiko grabs the rich child and throws him to the ground. Kauro breaks the fight quickly and apologizes to Yutaro, who in turn thanks her by throwing the entire group out of his mansion. Kenshin notes that Yutaro is acting so arrogantly because he grew up in a world where adults bow down to him, but if he finds a good instructor he could become an excellent swordsman.
Very angry by the show of disrespect mentioned earlier, Yutaro rides his horse dangerously fast in one of his afternoon horse riding lessons. Suddenly, a bunch of criminals stop Yutaro and kidnap him, planning to ask for ransom in return for his release. Meanwhile, the servant who was riding behind Yutaro escapes back to the mansion in order to call for help. The kidnappers prepare to take Yutaro and leave, but a giant man interrupts their plans. The man appears to be an expert swordsman which greatly impresses Yutaro. Unlike Kenshin, this man doesn't seem to mind killing and manages to murder nearly every single one of the kidnappers until Kenshin puts a stop to him. Excited, Yutaro asks the man for his name- It's Isurugi Raijuta.
Yutaro gathers all of his servants and announces that from now on Raijuta will live in the mansion and they all should respect him as if he was his own father. Raijuta, who is standing next to Yutaro, doesn't respond and leaves the house. Outside, Yutaro follows Raijuta who grabs his shinai and throws it into a burning fire, saying that shinais are nothing more than child's toys. He gives Yuta a real sword and declares him his student, a student of the Shinko Ryu.
Meanwhile, the KenshinGumi use their free time to bathe in some hot water springs, where Hana tells them that strange men have been staying at the Tsukayama estate lately and they've been using Yuta's treasure to buy mountains of weapons. Kenshin realizes something after hearing the name of the Shinko Ryu mentioned (we are not told what...)
Yutaro is training really hard, but it seems that all of his training is done solo. Raijuta is nowhere to be found. Kenshin visits Yutaro during his training in order to check up on him, but it seems Yutaro really resents him for some reason, saying that he doesn't compare to his sensei. Their conversation isn't long lived though- After finding out that Kenshin is Himura Battousai, Raijuta and a bunch of his men arrive at the edge of the cliff where Yutaro and Kenshin are and ask him to join the Shinko school. Raijuta explains that the Shinko Ryu plans to create its own empire where only the strongest of swordsmen will live. Kenshin declines, saying that innocent people will get hurt. He suggests that Raijuta and his colleagues learn how to adjust to the new era and stop chasing a false dream. The men surround Kenshin and attack him all at once, saying that he must die for knowing their secret. Kenshin notices that they all are pretty good, but still manages to easily avoid all of their attacks. Meanwhile, Yutaro, who's been hiding behind a rock, accidentally trips and falls off the cliff and into the river. This causes Kenshin to lose his focus and get knocked to the floor by one of the men. Raijuta commands the warrior to kill Kenshin.Rurouni Kenshin episode 18- Run! Yahiko, Bring the Sakaba Sword Back!

Our Yahiko has grown a lot. He shows great courage in defeating a thief who threatened to rob the Akabeko. Hiruma Goheh, who coincidently just passed the Akabeko and saw what happened notices Yahiko... You know that he can't be up to no good...
As Yahiko's skills improve, his ego gets blown out of proportion! He even says that he's already graduated from using wooden swords and should begin using real swords, like a real swordsman. Kauro laughs at the idea, saying that he will fall down if given a real sword and Kenshin tends to agree, telling Yahiko to concentrate on his studies and not on his ego.
Meanwhile, Goheh and another man are entering a forest while talking about two brothers who are supposed to be excellent assassins. Suddenly, the man gets hanged in midair as if he was attacked by a ghost of some kind. The terrified Goheh attempts to run away, but it's of no use. He falls down and begins being lifted in midair as well. Enter two strange-looking men. Goheh tells the men that he is a client so they shouldn't kill him. They take him down and lead him to their cave, where Goheh requests their assistance in murdering Kenshin. Hiruma Goheh has a secret plan to take out Kenshin, but the Onizaki brothers don't seem to care about anything but money...
Back at the Kammiya Dojo, Yahiko is busy cleaning the floor (and complaining about it) as a piece of wood is thrown at him. Goheh's head pops out of the bushes as he admits to be the one who threw the plank. Goheh tells Yahiko that he could defeat him anyday, even if his fingers were crushed. Yahiko wants to prove himself and they begin to dual, Yahiko with his shinai and Goheh with his umbrella. They both manage to hit each other and declare a draw, but Goheh says that if his was a real sword then Yahiko would have surely died, whereas he wouldn't have, since the Kammiya Kasshin Ryu forbids the use of weapons that can kill. Yahiko, who is irritated with Goheh, says that he could still defeat him, since there's the option of using Kenshin's Sakabatou... Goheh runs away happily (knowing that his plan worked out perfectly) and tells Yahiko to meet him in a shrine outside of town.
Kenshin is back from grocery shopping and has tons more work to do. Yahiko, who thinks that Kenshin won't notice, steals the Sakabatou for his match with Goheh... Surprisingly, Kenshin, who did notice, doesn't attempt to stop him and just lets him go with his reversed-blade sword. Yahiko hurries to the shrine with the Sakabatou, but is surprised to find the two Onizaki brothers who easily defeat him and cause him to faint.
Kauro and Kenshin receive a note from Hiruma Goheh, ordering them to get to Kikyou Garawa (Kikyou Hill) before sundown if they ever want to see Yahiko again. Kenshin explains to Kauro that he let Yahiko take the Sakabatou, thinking that he will be frightened by the weight of a real sword and return it- he didn't think that it was a trap.
Goheh tied up Yahiko in some rundown building and left the Sakabatou near him, informing the tied-up boy that Kenshin will die soon, since he has no chance against the brothers without his Sakabatou. After Goheh leaves, Yahiko rolls towards some pieces of sharp wood and manages to slice the ropes that tied him, severely injuring his arm in the process. He garbs the stolen sword and begins running towards Kikyou Garawa, fearing that Kenshin might really be in trouble because of him. On the road Yahiko needs to avoid police officers who bug him because of the sword, so he jumps in the river nearby and plans to swim all the way to the Kikyou Garawa.
Meanwhile, Kenshin and Kauro arrive to the hill where the Onizaki brothers await. The brothers introduce themselves as Tekken and Gengo Onizaki of the Tsuchigumo Ryu and the battle begins. The unarmed Kenshin seems to avoid all of Gengo's attacks with extra ease, and when he realizes that all Gengo was trying to do was lead him in a certain direction it's too late... Kenshin's right arm and both his legs are suddenly pulled backwards, leaving him almost completely unable to move. Just at the nick of time, Yahiko arrives with the Sakabatou, but life isn't easy... Before he will be able to give Kenshin back his sword, he'll have to face Goheh, who wields an actual sword rather than an umbrella this time. Yahiko unsheathes the Sakabatou... But can he really win his first battle with an actual sword...? Goheh is well aware of his advantage but Yahiko doesn't seem to mind. He manages to block Goheh's attack, but then remembers what Kauro once told him about using the opponent's strength against him. So instead of continuing to block the attack, Yahiko just stops blocking, catching Goheh completely by surprise and leaving him open to attacks. Yahiko slides beneath Goheh, kneeing the huge man in the no-no zone, and throws the Sakabatou back to its rightful owner just at the right time. Kenshin grabs the sword and hits Gengo's forehead just as he was about to attack. He then proceeds to cut the invisible strings that were holding him back, saying that the technique is easy to evade once one knows what's going on. Tekken gets annoyed and runs straight to Kenshin's painful Do Ryu Sen. With both brothers on the ground, Yahiko apologizes to Kenshin for his arrogance. Kenshin accepts the apology, saying that it takes a big man to apologize and Yahiko proves to be just that.
