Episode 3 - Bad Fellow

Hige and Kiba rush in to see the man leave with Cheza. He tells them that he will meet them in Paradise before disappearing. A loud scream of Cheza causes all the wolves to cover their ears, except for Tsume. After this, Detective Lebowski meets with Quent, who shows him the attack wounds he received the previous day. Quent also tells him about the Book of the Moon, which says that humans are born from wolves. The detective dismisses it and Quent accuses him of being charmed by the wolves. Meanwhile, Hige and Kiba hide out in the sewers, contemplating their next move. At the same time, Tomoe accuses Tsume of only befriending humans because he thinks he's superior. Tsume tells Tomoe to leave, which he does. As Tsume goes out for a walk, cops chase him down. It turns out that one of his former gang members betrayed him. He defeats all of them and escapes. Meanwhile, as Tomoe is rummaging in the trash, he runs into Hige and Kiba just as the girl who fed him shows up.

Tsume is chased down by Blue, who drags him off the roof. They fall and Tsume escapes in his wolf form. Meanwhile, Hige, Kiba, and Tomoe run away, disappearing into the sewage system. Kiba finds some blood and the three of them track it back to Tsume's place. They propose to Tsume that all four of them go in search of Paradise. Kiba asks why Tsume came to this town, but before he can answer, he says that the scent of flowers led him here. Hige looks out the window and sees that they are surrounded by men with guns. The four of them run out the door and the men start to open fire. Quent turns after them, shooting his rifle, but Hubb stops him from shooting what he thinks are humans. The four of them run to the city wall and jump over it, landing in the middle of a blizzard.

Episode 1 - Howling Street Corner

Episode 1 - Howling Street Corner

Legend has it that only wolves know where paradise is. Some humans believe that it is a lie and that wolves will only bring evil to the world. However, most believe that wolves have been extinct for 200 years.

As Tsume and his gang are returning from a raid, they stumble upon a gathered crowd. At first, it appears that an injured dog has taken refuge in the hollow of a tree but it soon becomes clear that the dog is actually a wolf. Tsume leads the wolf off, away from the crowd, before talking to it. Tsume tells the wolf that there are rules in the town that he must follow but the wolf responds by fighting him. One of Tsume's men jumps in and drives the wolf off. Tsume brushes off the help and walks away, angry. The wolf runs off, only to be tracked down by Quent Yaiden, a hunter who seeks out wolves with the help of his dog, Blue.

Meanwhile, scientists watch Cheza, the Flower Daughter, as her facial expression changes. They believe that she has a special bond with wolves and that she can smell their blood.

The scientists come to investigate the wolf that was shot. Neither of them are convinced that Cheza may have been reacting to the wolf, but they decide to transport the wolf back to their laboratory. As they go in search of someone to help them carry the cage, a boy named Hige comes back. He kneels down and asks the wolf why he is there. The wolf returns the question and Hige tells him that he's just wandering around. He also explains that he has taken on the form of a human so he will not get caught. Hige convinces the wolf to turn into a human and the pair of them leave the facility, undetected.

Meanwhile, Tsume's gang is out stealing more food from the nobles. As they are running away, one of the members slips. Tsume reaches out to grab him, turning in a wolf briefly to bite into his shoulder. The man screams and falls to his death. Meanwhile, Hige asks the stranger why he came to the town. The stranger replies that he smelled the scent of flowers. He wants to escape to Paradise.

Rosette is stunned to see her brother standing there. Her brother does not recognize her though. From across the fountain, Aion tells her that he pities the reunion. Rosette draws her gun, but cannot bring herself to fire on Aion. Joshua's crow takes the gun from her. Joshua then collapses from the noise in his head and his caretaker jumps in to help him. Aion tells Joshua that Rosette is their guest of honor and that he should not attack her. Joshua agrees, grudgingly. Rosette runs and grabs her gun, but Aion does not try to stop her. He tells Rosette that he is Joshua's only ally and asks if she remembers the ache he put into her. Rosette starts to bleed from her forehead again and collapses. Chrno jumps down in front of her, angered.

Back at the bench, Satella goes for drinks and leaves Azmaria with the butler. The butler thanks Azmaria, saying that she is the reason for Satella's change. As they are talking, a demon comes up behind him and kills him, before advancing on Azmaria. When Satella returns, she is surprised to find her butler wounded. She asks him what has happened and he says that Azmaria is in trouble. He tells Satella to go after Azmaria, before dying.

Meanwhile, Chrno notices that Joshua has his horns. He tells Rosette that they should retreat. Rosette refuses, but then Jidei shows up with Azmaria under his arm. Aion draws his weapon and cuts a circle around them. From the circle come the bodies of the Apostles. The Ritual of Atonement has begun. Trapped in one of the vortexes, Joshua believes that Chrno is trying to take away his power. He draws Rosette's gun and shoots Chrno with it. The noise in his head stops. Aion then reaches behind him and pulls out a head.

Aion raises the head of Pandimonium, which opens and emits a white light. All the Apostles grow wings and start to scream. Satella watches as a great vortex rises from the circle, vanishing into the sky. Back at the Order, they receive high astral readings. They realize what is going on and issue an evacuation order for the city. The Elder believes that San Francisco will disappear off the planet soon. Satella runs forward to help her and Aion sends Fi, Joshua's assistant, after Satella. When Satella sees that Fi is a Jewel Summoner, she realizes that Fi is her sister. When the vortex releases Rosette, she collapses. Aion walks forward and tells her that this was the ritual to awaken her. He tells her that there is still one more virtue, Justice, that they need. By eliminating Pandamonium's head, Rosette became Mary Magdalene. Aion orders her to cast aside her faith and join him. When he kisses her, she calls for Chrno to help her. Chrno stands and the seal breaks. He promises Rosette that he will not waste her life. As Chrno transforms, Remington shows up. He saves Azmaria, then turns to fact the other demons. Azmaria gets back in the car with the butler, who asks her if he can make an extra stop on the way home.

When Rosette gets home, Azmaria asks her if Rosette will come with her for a little bit. Everyone goes with Azmaria and the butler to a carnival. When they arrive there and see what it is, everyone criticizes her for wasting their time. Azmaria tells them that they should just have fun once in a while and not try to shoulder all the burden of fighting the Sinners. Satella apologizes for criticizing her and they all go to the carnival. Meanwhile, at Aion's house, Sheeda is ordered to thaw out the Apostles. Joshua also asks to come along with them. Aion agrees and all of them get ready to go to the carnival.

At the carnival, Rosette goes crazy over the games and the food. At the dance hall, Satella accepts a dance from a strange man. Everyone watches and Rosette gets envious. She drags Chrno out onto the floor and makes him dance with her. They keep stepping on each others' feet and finally make a game out of it. Soon enough, they are both dancing and having fun. Azmaria asks the butler to dance and soon, everyone is having fun. Afterwards, they get their photo taken. Later on, everyone gets separated from Chrno. Rosette goes off to look for them, while Azmaria and Satella stick together. They sit on a bench and Satella tells her that she is surprised how Rosette and Chrno have turned out. He tells Rosette that the Pursuers will handle things now and they take the battle into the skies. The Order is told to support DeFaux, but when Rosette goes for the seal, Chrno tells her not to. She pulls Rosette back up to the roof, then releases her from the web. The Puppeteer slashes Rosette, who tries to fire her gun but is out of ammo.
