Don't listen to these guys.
Just download or buy Flash, and make a game. Email it to Nintendo and they will hopefully put it in the Wii Shop Channel. they will contact you telling you how much you will make from each person who downloads it.
My friend made LostWinds, he makes $10,000 a week!
Overrated:
Brawl (great game, but it just isn't as fun unless you're playing with another human opponent [online sucks ass])
Underrated:
Star Trek Conquest
Red Steel (honestly, not a bad game. people just expected more because it was the first game with sword fighting)
Farcry (fun multiplayer, crappy single player)
Need for Speed Carbon (I have so much fun with this game but nobody seems to like it as much as me.. lol)
There's no Wii game, out of about 25, that I play constantly. I usually play the games I most recently purchased, thenI buy a new game and play it for a bit. I mostly play roms on The Homebrew Channel.
Games I'm playing now:
Geometry Wars
Scarface
Trauma Center
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Games with (probably) the most hours logged:
Resident Evil 4
Zelda
Need for Speed Carbon
Least played games:
Super Swing Golf
Endless Ocean
Mortal Kombat
Heatseeker
Favorite games:
Star Trek Conquest
Scarface
Geometry Wars
Trauama Center
Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
Games that I own but haven't even played yet:
NiGHTS into Dreams
The Godfather
Games I regret buying:
Mortal Kombat
Farcry (not that bad, but not good enough to be played more than any other of my games. Also bought it for $50 at wii launch)
I've seen it happen so many times. I bought Super Mario World 2 for NES and it STILL doesn't work properly (works 1 out of 10 times i reseat it in my NES and don't tell me it's the pins in my system).
Blowing the cartridge moistens the copper contacts. It's like standing in a big puddle and then dropping an electric wire into it; it shocks the whole puddle. It also corrodes the copper.
Try going to the hardware store and buying a 5 inch by 5 inch square of copper and leave it outside during the windter under your patio or something. By spring, the copper plate it going to turn completely green, I'm sure, due to corrosion.
If you don't believe this, well, you must live on mars where there is no water.
ALSO, by the time the big N released the SNES, I'm pretty sure they found out that the metal they were using to manufacture NES cartridge contacts was not the best alloy they could be using (due to it corroding so easily). SNES cartridges used a different copper alloy on the contacts (they don't corrode as easily). That doesn't quite explain the almost-wrecked Smash Bros I described earlier.
Try dipping a Q-tip in some rubbing alcohol (buy some at the dollar store), and rubbing ANY of the contacts on one of your SNES games. Chances are, the Q tip will come out greenish. That's the corrosion on your game, you'll be surprised how much you'll find.
you have to hit up thrift stores and flea markets to the max, dude.
best deal ive gotten (i dont really hunt for deals, i just find a game i want, track it down, and pay like $10 for it or whatever) was contra, final fantasy, legend of zelda (gold), and like 20 other crappy games that i traded, all for $20 from a friend.
ask people you know if they have NES's in their basements to sell. youd be surprised at how many games youll get this way.
