[QUOTE="Tulak_Hord"][QUOTE="KeyWii"][QUOTE="Vyse_The_Daring"]"Free Later," reading is fun. kcpp2b

Months later.

And you cows get Shivering Isles months later, i don't see you making a topic whining about it.

And europe got PS3 later...Oblivion came out months after PS3 launch, they get GRAW2 later then 360, R6V still not released. Splinter Cell:DA didn't come out at launch. More and more waiting but that waiting is ok right?

You're my hero man.

Yes, but once again, if this is a tech demo of what the game can do, then their is no reason why it shouldnt be in the game, PC games are never downgraded, because they scale back depending on the Hardware.

That...is...not...crisis...that...is...the...crytek...engine. If you think gameplay will look like that, then you're one of the few people that are going to get let down...

So, which game do you think looks better?

Crysis hands down, never said mass effect looks better. I'm saying don't use tech demos to try and prove that.

you dont seem to understand....PC games are never scaled back by the Developers, because they are designed to be scaled back on an individual basis.

Ok...cobra.  When crysis comes down, i want you to take a screenshot during the game that matches the one you posted, floating heads and all.  The bottom-line is, crytek wants other games to use the engine, so they were showing off what it "could" do...not what crysis will do.

[QUOTE="Huxley_00"][QUOTE="cobrax25"][QUOTE="UR_BEST_FRIEND"]THis is way better than crisis if its realcobrax25

nope.

it's close though..

Ummm...that's a tech demo for the crytek 2 engine...not gameplay shots of crysis, do you know anything?

this is a PC game, they never scale down anything because they always let PC gamers choose what to scale down instead.

Ummm...no.  Does crysis consist of floating heads?...that does sound kind of cool...  Here we go, once again, do you know what a tech demo is?  yes or no...

[QUOTE="DaddyDC650"][QUOTE="lowe0"][QUOTE="DaddyDC650"]
Well it IS that simple because GAME developers have admitted that the PS3 is in fact more powerful. Even the editor-in-chief of Xbox 360 over @ IGN admitted to speaking with GAME developers and guess what? PS3 = more power. I can link you to the video if you would like? l_The_DetoX_l

The jury's still out on that. Some developers say it's significant, others say it's marginal. Time will tell.

What I'm saying, however, is that the Cell being good at a specific kind of operation, for which it was solely designed, is not evidence of general superiority. Look at Folding@Home, for instance. The GPU client is faster than the Cell, but handles a much narrower range of problems. The same is true of the Cell vs. x86 and other mainstream CPUs. Performance is really about the suitability of the platform for the task, and CPU is just part of that.

I've always understood what you were trying to point out. You make some valid points but I would just like to add that since developers are admitting to the fact that the Cell is more powerful when compared to the 360's CPU. Take Ray-Tracing for example. I find it to be pretty impressive that developers can achieve Ray Tracing using the tech that is in the PS3. Obviously they need PS3's to create the visuals and if developers wanted to, they could create amazing looking games that will rival any 360 game using the Cell tech rather than the 360's CPU. My point is, when developers start to take full advantage of the PS3, I'm sure nobody will argue about the fact that the PS3 is indeed more powerful. By how much? Who knows exactly.

Do me a huge favor. Define how you mean "more powerful." :D

I think all of us should sync our defintions on what powerful actually is.

Agreed, that is too loose of a word for this discussion...

[QUOTE="beatzfreak69"]Ok let me get this straight, the xbox sold fastest last gen and lost. By that rationale, the PS3 will lose this gen? BRILLIANT!BlazeDragon132

Actually that would be Wii, it is selling fastest in US.
Wii is dominating Japan and US, I just hope this will mean it will NOT lose in the end...

Actually the GC was second fastest and it failed also...
