Witcher 2 is not open world though....but it's not linear either...not in the traditional sense...

Basically what you started was chapter 1....the game branches out in two separate lines after that, and you must choose one, and then it regroups for the last chapter...

So you do have choices that impact the storyline(you have two completely separate 2nd chapters), and not just those, but it's still one story to be told and the feeling is indeed that of a linear game

That's a bit pushing it :p...win 8 looks okay, but I don't think it's worth the upgrade either...8.1 should've been the first release I think, the current win 8 looks more like a beta to me :p
