Oh boy. First, whats the make/model of the tv? LCD's have a native resolution (if it's older, it's probably 720p). The xbox 360 will scale the image of a 1080p dvd to the output level selected in the system menu tab. So if you have selected 1080i as the output level of the xbox 360, the xbox will scale (down in this case) the video to 1080i, which may cause a little change to the over-all picture quality. Most HD-DVDs are going to be sold as 1080p because this is currently the highest resolution that HDTVs can display.

First of all, they called it "super", not me. The model # is BH200. What I want to knowabout this player is if they fixed/changed the Blu-ray 1080p refresh rate thang. It was reviewed before, and one of the great caveats of this player was its refresh rate for 1080p was (i believe) 24hz for blu-ray discs. Not alot of televisions support that refresh rate for 1080p. Also, the interactive menus on blu-ray discs wasn't supported. I'm hoping they addressed these issues if this isindeed an updated model of the original hd-dvd/blu-ray combi player. I downloaded the .pdf for this player and you'll excuse me if I find the .pdf lacking detail. Anyone seen a review for this machine anywhere?

RCA outputs are line level outputs and operate at -10 dBV levels. First, you will have no control over the volume output from the line level cables. If that is fine with you, then go ahead and save some money buy using just a direct connect from the RCA outs. 2nd, and more importantly, I'm sure you realize these are high quality headphones and deserve a greater output voltage than the RCA lines can deliver (you will be under-driving the speakers inside the headphones). Most headphone amps are geared towards the ipod crowd and run pretty cheap. The diagram above will work as a simple connection without a headphone amp. I would consider one down the road though.

Sorry to mention, but the previous post will not work. The output level of the RCA connectors are not going to be enough to power the headphones. You will need a headphone amp, which are comonly available, and a series of adapters to connect the 360 to the headphones. Most headphones use either a mini-plug or 1/4inch jack. Adapters for theses are everywhere. Will you be feeding the audio to the headphones and a television? In which case, you will need to split the RCA connectors (from the xbox) with Y-splitters feeding both the headphone amp and tv. Some headphone amps will accept the RCA line inputs, if not, you can buy adapters that will sum stereo RCA out to mini-plug or 1/4in. The headphone amp should accept either the mini-plug or the 1/4in. Again, all this cable switching will lead to some degredation in audio quality.

Thanks for the reponses folks. Budget wise, I'm willing to pay whatever it takes to get the right mouse, that said I probably wouldn't pay more than $200 for a damn mouse! I did check out the G5 series from Logitech, but the MX felt better in my hand and has more buttons. For the person who owned/uses the 6000 MS, is the mouse accurate enough? Anybody else had a problem with tracking with mice in FPS multiplayer games? I tell you, there are times when I swear the sighting recticle is right on the enemy and I'm still missing the shots. It shouldn't be a lag issue either. I've been getting pretty good pings (under 100).

I've been living with the original MS Intellimouse Explorer (yes, the first intellimouse that MS came out with) for the last seven years or so. I haven't found much need to replace it since, in fact, my search for a new/better mouse stems from recent frustrations with Call of Duty multiplayer. I had been playing version 1.3 of CoD and doing fine. I patched to 1.5v and now I can't hit @#$$! Anyhow, its time for a new mouse. I didn't want to go wireless, but most high-end mice are going that way. The two I like most so far are the Logitech MX Revolution (wireless, several scroll wheels, buttons galore) and the MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000, which is an odd fist shaped mouse with only 1 scroll wheel, 4 button mouse. I didn't like the location of the scroll wheel on the 6000 (i thought is should be under the thumb-grip rather than pushed to the side). I have big hands so I want a large mouse. I've checked out some of the Razor mice, but wasn't in love with them. I have a Windows Vista machine...any other pointing device recommendations from you gaming folk? Thanks.

I just knew this would bring the flamage.  That's alright, I can take it.  You guys want to race the red rocket with your dogs, its a free country.  My problem is how come you can't choose an animal to acompany you the whole game?  Witches, sorceres traditionally have cats as familiars.  Wouldn't you rather have a dragon than a dog?!  Unfortunately, I will most likely purchase this game because I'm a sucker for a good RPG.  However, this "great new addition" to the game is...well...none of the above.

Look, I'm just not a dog person and quite frankly I think this will ruin an otherwise great RPG.  A familiar would be much better a cat, mountain lion, panther, monkey - some choice of what you want to follow you around the whole game.  Forcing everyone to scoop up after their dog doesn't sound too fun...just my opinion.  I was looking forward to this game until Sir Peter announced this great new addition to the game.  Any other traditional RPG's coming out for 360?  Wasn't looking for nintendogs with swords.

Ok, I have the 360 premium with component connector currently hooked up to my Olevia 232v (1366 x 768 native HD LCD) tv and everythings great.  Except, I could really use the component input for future devices.  I have been considering purchasing the Monster Cable (GLX360 VGA-10) vga connector.  Will I have to change any of the settings in the dashboard to change the resolution?  Also, I use my 360 often as a dvd player (480p standard dvd)...I guess my question is will I have any conflicts with resolution output using the vga connector?  Thanks in advance...
