@usernameonetwo: no, it's a completely different thing. Rock Band requires access to the original master recordings, as it operates seven streams of audio vocal/guitar/drum/bass/effects etc etc. They are extremely protective of these and for good reason. Rocksmith is just a single MP3

@goodemon: the golden compass was a very profitable movie, but the startup funds are provided by New Line, who after being absorbed into wb proper could not put up that cash since wb didn't think it was worth it.

@sasren: in the United States, the movie theaters is 10% of the tickets first week which gradually increases the 50% after the fourth week. International sales is where they see 50% to the international distributor, and what their deal is with the theaters is up to them. Terminator didn't even play for weeks most places in the US
