hmmm well an extra controller cost me $40 so that wasnt the cost since that is less than the other consoles. you cant say its the new tech.
my point is nintendo is making easily the best profit on their consoles. they are selling tech that came out 5 years ago for $250. Each wii must cost 50 bucks to make.
this is a moot point since nintendo could sell out the wii right now if it was $300, but i just thought i would point it out. People bash on the ps3 for price so much, but think about all the stuff thats in there. plenty for $600. What is in the wii? Its a repackaged ps2. nintendo really has this down.

actually, last i heard the wii cost about 200 to make. whats wrong with nintendo not wanting to sell the wii at a loss?i guess i dont really have a problem with it, i just wish people would stop insulting the ps3 for it, when sony is making a sacrifice for its customers in my opinion.
nintendo is doing what should probably be seen as the smart thing. they designed a system which really had no potential loss. there is no way they could ahve lost money on the wii. i respect them for being smart and making their money, it just doesnt match up with what the other companies are doing for their consumers.
how could you resist a $150 wii? everyone would have one. and i think they would break about even with their sales this way. but as as i stated before they are not having sales problems so it doesnt matter.

That makes no sense at all, why would nintendo want to lose money on a console, when they know they can gain money on a console and still sell twice as much as the competition. The Wii is doing great it may be a fad but for now it rocks. I bought 1 on day 1 and am very happy with it so far. Not many good games released in the summer so what can u expect. Come Mp3, the Wii will rock again and all the wii haters will be proved wrong
