Yeah. Some programs embed some data into the file when you save it, for example, Adobe Photoshop. When you save a file, it'll embed the name of the program and the version into the file, which can be checked using notepad. Cameras also embed data into the images. Throwing the image into Photoshop and checking the file info, I can see that the image was taken April 29th, 2007 at 10:01 AM and 26 seconds GMT -7:00.

This particular image does not have Adobe Photoshop in the metadata, meaning that it was not edited using Adobe Photoshop. However, that doesn't rule out the possibility that the image was edited using something else.

It's also possible to edit metadata. Therefore, we'd need to do a palette comparison to make sure.
