I heard the name but I don't keep up with the newest systems and whatnot. I thought it was like a Wii U? I'm off to research it! I didn't know it was portable.

Well I'd like that very much. Something portable would be cool but dangerous if I could play anywhere I wanted. I mean I have an older DS with Mario Kart on it but I want newer stuff right now. And it'd be nice for my husband, I assume, if I didn't make such a commotion sitting here in the living room hollering at the tv when I play. I could take it upstairs or something.

@davillain-: Have you guys ever played the 'online' feature where you compete against other players? I tried that for the first time a few days ago, when I started this latest craze, and now it's all I do. I was nervous to play against real people because I've never done that before but it's fun!

@metalman0616: Another good one! One thing I think MK7 does way better than 8 is the battle stages.

Anyone care to share what's on their Christmas list this year?

I can never ask for the fun junk I really want because no one will want to get it for me (besides my husband). So I asked for practical kitchen stuff instead.

Did anyone do any Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping? I got a few gifts for family and 2 hard drives. These sales are just too early for me to really take advantage of.

My husband and I moved in with my parents for 2 years while in our late 20's to save up a down payment for our own place. We moved out about 9 months ago now. It was always understood we could come live with them to save up any time, so once we had the opportunity we did it. And now that we have our own place my parents and siblings will be staying at our house when they're in town. Being this age and depending on my parents in that way does make me feel a bit like a loser.
