i think it's impossible to inherently dislike an entire genre. people here may associate metal with death metal, or black metal and say "no i hate all the screamo stuff therefore i hate metal"

but the majority of people probably like some form of metal whether it's a metallica song, iron maiden, black sabbath, led zeppelin etc.

Here:

Baconbits2004

I always find it interesting to try and interperate what these pictures mean.
Here's my take: this lady is clearly not in good health, she looks deformed. Perhaps she was born that way?
The sickly lookingegg signifies her passing along her deformed genes onto her offspring.

The apple signifies health (apple a day keeps the doctor away) it is on her head because it's constantly on her mind.
She has three eyes, this is usually tied with seeing into the future.
She looks into the future and see's that the child is going to follow along the same path she has.
So she cracks the egg, effectively aborting the child; as she realizes it's better not to pass along her genes.

plus the artist took time to draw the cleavage so there is sex appeal as well.

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"] While I get your point, I am one to believe that it was Moses who wrote the book of Genesis. That stated, he knew God face-to-face. If you personally and literally spoke with God and he said he created all that exists, it might be that he is telling the truth. [QUOTE="biohaznerd"]

[QUOTE="mindstorm"]To say that it has no citations is completely in error. Constantly within the text it refers to eyewitnesses, events that are detailed in secular works of that day, locations that literally existed, people that very much did exist, etc.mindstorm

that all sounds too convenient for a book that's trying to convince people it's 100% fact. almost like it was written by a group of really good authors.

But is that not what a book with a historical nature supposed to do? One might as well read a recent autobiography and say, "It seems too convenient that the author knew about his own life." :P

but their autobiography in particular doesn't claim to have created the universe and be an all powerful god and supreme ruler of the universe.

a book claiming that better back it up.

i'm not asking you to be atheist or promote atheism as a better way of life, i just want to point out that you can't quote the bible as fact in any manner, not in todays world at least.

The universe was created by God. Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

quoting the bible is not a good enough explanation for the creation of the universe. it was written by man and has no citations to back up many ridiculous claims it made, if any book tried doing that nowadays it would be laughed at my the vast majority of people.

it's like me quoting the lord of the rings and saying sauron, gandalf and frodo existed.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="dontshackzmii"]its more lile a cultShuLordLiuPei
"Cult" is defined as a fringe religious movement lead by a single charismatic individual. Please, just to entertain this idea, who is the charismatic leader of atheism?

One word: Richard Dawkins.

rofl that's two words
