When i say mature games it just means you wont see me getting Cooking mama or (im gonna get killed for this) Super Paper Mario.

I could easily count 20 games i am interested in however and i just wanted to know if the wii is a good stand alone system.

360 does have some good games. Gears of War, Oblivion, dead rising....but most of all, I never owned an X-Box. So I would be able to go back and buy games I never played, like Ninja Gaiden and Halo...FOR CHEAP.

 360 does it's upside. If it was cheaper, then I assure you I would have bought one and said screw the Wii.

Yeah but thats just the thing.

There ARE and there is GOING to be mature and some non-mature games that i am interested in on the wii.

I listed them above and that wasnt my question anyway.

I have a choice.

I currently have an Xbox (original) and 18 games and im planing of trading it all in so i can get a next gen.

Basically if i trade it all in i can choose to scrape a 360(probably couldnt get a game for a while let alone live) or a wii with zelda and maybe an extra controller.

Im very interested in both consoles and im pretty sure ill go with the wii HOWEVER......if i get the wii it will be the ONLY console i get. Ive heard a HUGE amount of people say how it gets boring or is just a toy or you have to have another console along with it and i need to know if you can survive on the wii alone.

One more thing, I'm a mature (ish) aged gamer and enjoy mature games. I will not get super paper mario however am interested in games like, Zelda, Godfather, MP3, SMG, brawl, Resident Evil, Disaster etc.

I dont have a HDTV and i dont plan on getting one in the near future because i simply cant afford the outrageous cost they are here is Australia.

Basically i was just wondering how much of a difference playing the 360 on a normal non HDTV would be and if it would be bad enough to not get the xbox 360. Does anyone out there play the 360 on a normal tv and if so does it still look good?
