motion gamign? you mean the idea that's been around for a generation already and wasn't well received by anyone? which they're now forcing on you, along with drm and mandatory once a day log-in.

microsoft lost the price advantage when they have to bundle kinect with everything. that's the only thing they had going for them (i'm only talking tech here, not titles)
Sony's cheaper, less privacy invasive and allows used games. Sony's going to have to screw up on a Brobdingnagian scale for me not to buy a ps4. i can say with 95% certainty that Sony's sleek black beast will be sitting comfortably on my shelf.

If this is true, it'd be interesting to see Sony step away from the technological advantage, which was their stance with the ps3, higher price and superior technology to show for it (apart from the processors).

i doubt it's a good chunk, to be honest. CoD is a multiplayer shooter first-and-foremost ever since modern warfare.

equal needs of the many are above the equal needs of the few, especially in a business.

better to appease and delight the majority of the fanbase, who buys it for the multiplayer, than entreat the minority.

you live in a dream world. a game has an expiration date after which part of the fanbase will lose interest. instead of dividing the time they have (2 years) into singleplayer and multiplayer, spend it on the thing CoD is known for and what brought it the colossal sales: multiplayer.

multiple companies working on 1 stuff just leads to communication errors and differing ways of thinking, leading to design clashes. try much and you'll be good at them at best, but focus on a single thing and see it honed to perfection.

yes, because the story is what call of duty is known for and. fans and critics have been clamouring for changes to the singleplayer.

don't get me wrong, i love me a good singleplayer, but just stop being the slow kid in class, IW. an overpowering majority of your userbase cares little for single-player. just scrap and make it a multiplayer-only shooter, allowing you to work on balance longer (read: ''at all'') and bring more content.

it makes me so nostalgic to read things like these. people would grow up hacking their home console and end up making high-quality games. as they said, 2 programmers were enough. games cost tens of millions now, but the pleasure we get out of them is the same as someone would get out of a good SNES game.

i think it's for 2 target audiences:

1. the poor. the xbox is still a good console and many people don't make the immediate transition to next-gen. i believe microsoft won't discontinue support after they've released their new console.

2. house-moms. they don't look at specs or whatever, they see a cheap console that they can get their kid.

''flattened''? that doesn't sound great to hold.

also, eddie, when you make such a mistake, don't hide behind gamespot. just say ''i'm sorry'', instead of going full-formal and hiding behind ''gamespot regrets this''.

nothing wrong with a personal touch, it also seems more genuine.

@FoxbatAlpha

this is the 3rd generation xbox 360, not the successor.

you should read the whole article before commenting...
