On the reverse point, the forums would be 70% more dead if everyone Google'd it.guynamedbilly

Yea, but it would clean out all the crap. Forums are for discussion, news, and opinions. Not yes/no, a/b, or one sentence reply questions. If I want to know how much a certain graphics card is, I would Google it. If I wanted reviews or opinions on it, I would post a topic about it on a forum. If I want to know how to get past a certain boss, I would Google for a spoiler free walkthrough or guide. If I wanted to find out what people thought about the boss, I would post a topic about it on a forum.

If no one posted their questions on forums, googling would be pointlessBlack_Knight_00

Ha, that is a pretty good point, to an extent.

Star Fox for the SNES was one of the titles that got me into gaming and perked my interest in game development. I think that I was about six at the time so that was about 11 years ago.

Final Fantasy VIII also gets a mention, Squall is just... he kind of rubs off on me as someone that can change himself to better others (only ten hours in, no spoilers please!).

Some stuff happens to people. HAHA take THAT... jk. I hate it when I hit [Preview], to check my spelling, and when I get back somebody wrote something before I got to read it.

Final Fantasy 8 (Not the first game I ever played, but it is what got me into gaming)
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (I can`t wait for the J&D Collection)
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Favorite game ever)

I am phycic so I can go ahead and say Skyrim will beat out Oblivion for my favorite game. But Oblivion introduced me to the series (Elder Scrolls) and the genera (sand box RPG), so I will leave it as the one that changed me.

My little sister is in basketball this year. Her schools has a new policy where the sports teams are 100% funded by donations. She had to get $350 in sponsors before they would let her play. Plus she had to buy her uniform and a special pair of shoes. You also have to pay to get into every game. If done in this way, it could work. It wouldn`t use any of your precious tax money. It would bring a community of like minded people together. It would be no different then a chess, or debate team. You could have a school WoW guild. You could have classic Fridays where you bring old school nes, genesis, and other old school game systems. It could work.

Before I go wining about a problem, or asking for help. I tend to Google it. I can`t get past a certain part in a game, Google it. I want to find out how much a good gaming PC is, Google it. I can`t remember the ingredients for thermite, Google it. Am I the only person who finds it easier and more reliable then posting on a forum? I take a look through the list of forum topics and about 7/10 are questions or complaints that Google could have solved. Thoughts?...

[QUOTE="blahsalt48"]Seeing as Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas all have GOTY editions out, I will be placing my bets on Skyrim. Oblivion is my favorite game of all time, so my personal GOTY will probably be Skyrim as well.EvilSelf

As far as know New Vegas does not YET have a Game of the Year editon out, nor it won it last year. But i wanted it too. Amazing game.

There is a Fallout: NV GOTY. Amazon has let the cat out of the bag. You can already pre-order it in Europe.

I have played Final Fantasy 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, and 13. Until last year the only one I had beat was 10-2. But I beat 13, then 7, 8 and I am in the middle of 9 and 1. The fact that I had played so many without beating them kind of weighed on me. But I am working my way through them.

@ NoodleFighter,

Did you not see the, (This is a joke)? You are trying to correct me and I was joking. I didn`t even hide it. I said, This is a joke . Where is the confusion coming from? And are the optimal settings always the best, or is it what the game thinks could be the best? Not to mention I wasn`t just talking about that. When I said "tweaking settings" I also meant all the parts and upgrades you need every few months. Not to mention working around DRM.

What did you expect me to do? Oh, you picked one thing in my list of issues and found a nonexistent problem with it. I will go out and buy a PC now. The question was, "Console gamers, why do you prefer console gaming over PC gaming?" Not, "PC gamers, come try to convert the lowly console gamers." I shouldn`t have to explain every detail of an opinion. When I took other peoples post and explained my side, it was to answer a question or clear something up. You are just trying to say I am wrong, when I am not.
