But isn't the point of owning a console is to make the most of it with what games it provides? While there are some legit points (I'll give you the Wii's online isn't that great, but TvsC was very fun online), it's stupid NOT to buy a certain game you want if it's on a system you have and wait for a port on other systems in order to make you buy it. On top of that, saying the Wii doesn't deserve fighting games is like saying another console doesn't deserve other games. Every system needs games of many kinds.nintendoboy16

You obviously cant wrap your brain around what I am trying to get across. So I am not going to argue with you. Fighting games just don`t work on the Wii. That is my stance.

People with a 360 don't have time for this, they have been playing their console with working online and better exclusives for a long time now.Sgt_Crow
PS3 owners have had online since two weeks after the hack. And the 360 only has the better shooter exclusives (Halo, Gears). PS3 has much better exclusives in every other genera (Infamous, Uncharted, Demon`s Souls).

Demon`s Souls. It is really fun, but it is so hard. If I die multiple times in a game, I usually get fed up and shut it off. But you cant do that with DS because you die CONSTANTLY. So even though it is an amazeing game, I hate it. I have to trick myself into thinking I like it, just to pick it up and start playing. Honestly, I play most games for the story. I think video games are just as good a story telling medium as books. So alot of times I play games on easy. That way I get the story, but I don`t get annoyed at the difficulty. So playing such a hard game was a big change for me.

What is wrong with buying a Gamecube or CIassic Controller for the fighting games if you have a Wii? I'm sorry, but not buying a game just because they have a certain system they can play it on and choose not to buy it for a reason like that (and wait for a company to spend even more money on a port) doesn't sound right at all.

nintendoboy16

What you just said made little to no sense. Read that out loud, and tell me I am supposed to understand that. What is wrong with buying a 20$ controller that I would only use for a couple games? How about the fact that I would be spending 20$ on a controller that I would only use for a couple games. It is ridiculous to expect me to buy a different controller for every five games. Not to mention I am not made of money.Plus the Wii online sucks, so playing with other people would be better on the other consoles. You should cater your games to your audience. The majority of Wii owners only use their Wii for casual gaming. Fighting games are not casual games. So fighting games are much better suited on a console that makes a better medium. And they wouldn`t have to port it if it was made on the console it should have been made on to begin with, which is my argument. I hope I got what you were trying to say. Get some sleep before you reply. I would like to be able to understand whatyou say.

[QUOTE="Shadow_____"]Good for you. Yet another proof that Sony has dumbass systems.RogueShodown
You really think they'd allow it if they had a choice? They'd have to delay the PS store's arrival even longer, which would just anger people. This is probably why the selection of games is so limited.

First off, Shadow is an idiot. What are you doing on a play station thread, if you don`t like play station? And Sony has the best system out right now. This isn`t opinion, it is side by side comparison. If you`r opinion is different, good for you. I won`t argue with you about it on this thread. Quit trolling and go annoy your mom or something.

Second, they had a limited selection because of money. Every game they are giving away for free is basically dried up anyway. i.e. Super Stardust was one of the first games you could download from PSN. If people haven`bought it yet, they won`t ever. Little Big Planet is obsolete now that LBP2 is out, so they might as well give it away. Most people are only downloading the games because they are free.

If they gave away a lot of games for free, they would see a big drop in profit. They don`t loose much from giving these games away. And they can`t give away games that aren`t Sony`s property. Because then they would have to pay a third party game developer, to give the game away. There is a reason they chose THESE games.

I felt that way for the original Final Fantasy. I got the combination 1&2 and was very excited. (I really liked FF7,10, and 12. I LOVED FF8.) I poped it in and after ten minuets I had had enough. I tried playing it multiple times. But I just didn`t feel it. Story has a HUGE part in me enjoying a game. I think that is what I was missing.

I remember playing Aladdin on my SNES. It was awesome. (I was like 7) I haven`t played many movie games though. I have played Ridddick, but it isn`t about the movie. I used to have LotR: The Two Towers. It was the whole trilogy though, I never understood why it was only called the two towers. It was fun. I think I had that Toy Story game too when I was little. It was hard, to me, back then.

You really think putting it on the Wii was a reason TvsC sold like it did? I doubt it would have sold that much better on PS3/360.nintendoboy16

Yes, despite what the Wii fan boys seem to think, the Wii is a casual gaming machine. There are a few hardcore games for it, but for the most part it is casual. Almost any fighting game is not made for casual gamers. Plus the controls are terrible for a fighting game. (I know you can use the classic or the GameCube controller, but I know about 15 people with a Wii, and only one of them has either of those.)

Move and Kinect are so far back that most games don't even give you the option to use them.

ThePlothole

There are 26 games on the market that utilise Kinect, with 26 on the way.

And there are 53 games using Move, with 16 on the way.

As I said, they need to calm it on motion controls. They should take notes from Microsoft and Sony when it comes to this. There are plenty of games with motion controls, and many of the games give motion controls as an OPTION for their games. They are fun, and they are a welcome addition. But they shouldn`t be the main method of control for a console.

The motion controls don`t need to disapear. But it should be put on the back burner. Kind of like Move and Kinnect. They are there, but they arn`t forced into every game. For example: I really enjoied Super Mario Galaxy, but the controlls were TERRIBLE. It would have been much better suited for a a real controller. Mario Cart was the best Wii game ever made. Why? Because it epitamized the Wii`s real draw. It is a great party game, it is accesable to little kids and new gamers, it is fun, and (best of all) you can controll it however you like. If you want to turn the Wiimote on it`s side, use the numchuck attachment, or the controller, you can. So they should really consider toneing the motion controll down.
