With that receiver you aren't getting a "true" surround sound (5.1, 7.1, etc). Your receiver only has auxilary in so when you are using red and white plugsit would be 2 channel turned into surround. To get true surround sound you would need a receiver that takes optical or hdmi input.

I don't see anything on the receiver for true surround sound plug in. Usually it is hdmi or optical and I don't see either.

According to that I would have to have an elite serial number to get that.  Any other way to get one since I just bought the hard drive and not the elite system?

I ended up buying the 120gb HDD off of ebay for pretty cheap.  It is an open item and does not come with the transfer cable.  I thought I read you can get that from Microsoft for free, does anyone have a link?

For some reason my wii won't power up at all. I have checked the cable and plugged into multiple outlets, no luck. I did get the one year replacement plan so I guess i will trade in. Does anyone know of a way to get the game out of there?

What will the difference in graphics look like for a game that is supposed to be 720p upscaled to 1080i look like? Are they still quality HD graphics? I guess I never had this problem with my 360 or was unaware of it. If my tv won't do 720p, (and I am not getting getting a new one since this one is less then 2 years old) is it worth me owning a PS3?

Thanks for all the help, this has been informative.
