8.7/10 Great DX9 rig. What do you think of mine? ATi HD2900XT 512mb CrossFire - 2046mb DDR2-800 - AMD X2 6000+ 3.0ghz - 24' 1920x1200 HP Moniter As for upgrades if you have AM2 wait for the Phenoms and your card is great but if you want better perf get a 8800GTS or HD2900XT.LouieV13

if his is an 8.7/10 then yours is a 13/10, cus his is roughly mine, and i would give mine a 7 when compared to beasts like yours (assuming yours was a 10)

first off, dont ever do something cus "celebs" are doing it.
second, its true that anything that can be done on a mac can be done on a pc
pros: they are ideal for multi tasking and have numerous powerfulprograms availiable for any sort of art (video/picture/sound editing)
cons: as with anything mac, it will cost quite a bit to acquire a system that will run well with their high demanding programs. there will also be numerous incompatability problems you will face when trying to use files from windows computers.

conclusion: macs are good for editing. if you are getting a computer just for music and internet, go with a cheap dell or build one if you want, because macs are pro tools; you dont buy a mac to surf the web.

the macs at my school arent allowed to be hooked to the internet. theyre like 2000 each and we hav 10 so the school doesnt want to risk viruses, but honestly,no one programs for mac! which does result in very few viruses.

when you build a computer, you buy the pieces and put it together. its not a question of whether newegg has better COMPUTERS or not, it all depends on the combination of parts YOU pick out. newegg just sells them individually.

[QUOTE="LouieV13"]Just get a 360 or something. You obviously dont want to spend alot but wont build it you'r self. There is no way to get a gaming computer cheap unless YOU build it.LouieV13
