I played the demo with my friends today. after just 3 or 5 races, we dropped it and played Mario Kart Wii. Driving feels much better in MK. The only thing that MNR does better than other racers is the creative part.Shoooryuken

yeah because MK is way easier to play, I hate racers that are to easy and MK is one of them.

i was also excited about this game until the demo.... the game should be much easier than it is since it's a cart racing game

also whats up with the game starting your cart off BEHIND EVERYBODY ELSES CART? what the hell, the game basically start you off in last place

undecided if i'll get this game

successful19

Who complains about starting last? It won't happen all the time in the full version.

[QUOTE="blazin640"]

you guys realize that was the demo right? Rent the full game or get it before you complain.

GeneralHawx

just because it is a demo doesn't mean it won't represent the actual gameplay, very rarely will u see a game be different from its Demo

except all the custimization and the online, and the story, and alot more. The demo is missing so much from the original game, but the actually gameplay of the driving should be the same.

[QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]You're not alone. The track building and customization is great, but the racing itself is one notch above terrible. Reminds me a bit of Little Big Planet, where they made a user-content based game of a certain genre and then completely messed up the core mechanics.azzezino
This is how I feel too. I had more fun with Split/Second than I did with MNR.

You do know MNR has a story right? Try to get your facts right next time.

Definitely buying this game, wether or not it will be on launch, I am not sure. I think so, but it depends on the money. I found the demo pretty fun and to me it shows what the game is capable of. I can tell there is so much fun to be had with this game. Games like this with a good multiplayer take a long time to die.

NaveedLife

I agree, thats why I'm looking forward to the game. Two player online split screen, a story thats funny yet entertaining and so much custimization, this game will last me a life time (unless a sequel comes out haha but I don't think they really need too).

It was entertaining for a while but there was nothing that grabbed me made me think "I must go put down a pre-order right now".

It was just a meh to be honest. I was expecting more.

Zed_11

I would atleast rent the game first before you base it off of the demo, like I said, theres WAY more to do in the full game.

Eh, it's alright. It just seemed like every other kart game though, it didn't appeal to me. I have Mario Kart wii and that's all I need.

xTpux

Mario kart wii is ok, but on the easy side and doesn't appeal to me.

Wow, controls were annoying. I've never played such a slippery KART Racing game before. I had to aim towards something other than a powerup to drive into a powerup. The hazard indicator is useless too since you can't tell when its going to hit. I had full boost and when the indicator I would just use all of it for a sheild and I still got hit. Then I would see if I could do it at the right time and I still get hit. I spent a lot of time on the creation stuff and its cool, No matter how bad I am at doing it I'm still happy that I created it from scratch. Its a shame though that the core gameplay is obviously flawed. Maybe next time they'll do better.

Zidaneski

The items are hard to get to true, but you can look back to tell when the weapons are going to hit you. I found the hazard indicator easy to use and I keep repelling weapons and you have to time your shield just right. You probably aren't that great at the game haha, and it is YOU that is obviously flawed my friend, but who cares.

the only reason to complain is if your not into the cartoony looks (which I thought was the best feature of the game), or that you have to be good at drifting and you have to know when to shield and when to save and use ur weapons, but honestly I thought that was the best reason about the game.
