You know some I didn't mind paying for.. FFXI I didn't mind, and Tabula Rasa I probably will. I did the beta for Sword of the New World.. That game is HORRIBLE.. It looks so AMAZING.. but its HORRIBLE!!! The reason why they charge though is Bandwidth is dang pricey. I work for an ISP and when ever someone sees me on the street, they sometimes ask me how come there 5mb connection doesn't seem like 5mb, and I have to explain to them that just because you buy a 5mb dsl connection your probably not going to get a full speed depending on other servers and how many people are online, we have a 25% headroom right now, but we try to keep that as low as possible because bandwidth is crazy $$$ if you were paying for a dedicated 5mb connection you'd be paying quite a bit more than you are now. Its how companies keep the monthly charges per customer down, since not everyone is going to be using the full 5mb of there connection at one time.

Very nice thread so far.... especially good work on using actual IN GAME pictures (when and if available). Too often these type of threads are done with CGI type SS and it is so frustrating when people actually think the game will look that way. Anyway good job sir!moohan

Yeah I wanted to go the ingame pictures because good CGI is nice, but if all I want is CGI, I'll get an animated film.

I like the BD demo more...maybe cuz there's alot more to do ( where'd u hear of a 2 hr demo in only 2 Gbs of memorey...ES has about 500Mb and I beat it in 20 min) but Es has better battles.....I guess fighting a large plant is better than fighting a poo snake :|:?:lol:

I dont get the Japanese sometimes...but i somehow love their RPGs...

I'll agree there is more to do in Blue Dragon, but yeah I thought the ES batles where smoooooth. Blue Draon I think the fighting system is nice, just more organized chaos than ES. I did like how you could basically choose when you attack in BD by how much you charged up and so forth.
