By what stretch do you say Assassin's Creed did well? Monetarily, perhaps. But in the gaming community, AC is a supermodel: good looks and no substance.
There should be a(n arbitrary) limit to accessibility in games to preserve the challenge, but I wouldn't go so far as to use my gaming as an identity marker which would be easily threatened by target audience changes based on making millions more dollars.
[QUOTE="blue_tape"][QUOTE="Einherjan"]Is this that fruity game about Chopin? shogoh
Eternal Sonata. Yup.
If you dislike the game so much, why did you play it... twice?
Why did I play it twice? Because of the challenge, or at least what I thought was going to be a challenge. I didn't know the second time around that I would end up fighting the game design more than the enemies. But no one can ever point at me and say I didn't give this game a completely fair shake, not even those too quick to judge.
