dude... if your going with that vid card... you will need 600+ watts for good performance... and you will NEED 2 gb of Ram for that card or it will bottleneck if the game you are playing only need 1gb of ram for best gaming experience then you probably dont need and 640mb vid card to run it... there is no need for quad... you can get a e6600 for 210$ now... the l2 cache increases speeds that programs run at... and seeing as how the 2mb of l2 in 6300, 6400 havent even been close to all the way used... there is no need to spend XXX$ on 8mb of l2... wait a couple years to upgrade because it will actually be used then and it will probably be in the sub 200 range... also i cant tell what you mean by 320 case psu + 500 psu... you can only have one psu at a time... and for that card... like i said earlier... you will need 600+ wat to run it well.. otherwise performance will drop and the gpu will not work as well...Squeets

im guessing u guys havent seen alan wake yet. the dev from rememdy showcased it on an intel and said quad was necessary for max settings hell one core is physics alone and i forgot how he spread out the other 3 but each core is doing a specific job he said quad core was a need for max settings

i see why ur mad adn all if u reserve a game the word says it all "reserve" as in theres one left you save it for the guy who reserved it not sell it to a walk in....on the other hand i dont get why people reserve games anywyas. ive never looked for a game in more than one store to find it, its either always there or if not the second place i go it is. best buy or walmart or other big chain stores are almost guaranteed to have it since they order such a huge supply, even if it is the most anticipated game of all time (ill use halo 2 even though i hate it) that game wasnt sold out anyhwere where ever you went they had loads of copies so i just dont get the pre order stuff, maybe for consoles on launch

Does anyone know if theres a projected date or time frame when all channels will be broadcast in HD. I got a 50inch 1080p and I would love the day when every channel is native 1080p

intel core 2 quad q6600 lga 775 2.4ghz 64 bit

ddr2 1024mb 800mhz pc6400 ram ( might step it up to 2 gigs but ill wait til i see system requirements for those games)

160gb hard drive (im not that huge on downloading stuff so its enough for me

geforce 8800gts 640 mb

350w case powersupply plus 500w supply

windows vista home premium 64 bit edition

mastershake575

looks good but if you can wait the intel core 2 quad q6600 is going down to in price in july from $500 something too $266 and with the extra money your saving you can afford another gig of ram

good call, are u sure about that price drop? cuz im sure those games are gonna need at least 2g maybe 4g for max settings i was just gonna add it later but if i just wait til july

[QUOTE="TakaNui"]i used to play on SD but then i switched to HD and it is a million times better but if all you have is SD then itll still be fine, some games look bad in SD(dead rising) and some dont(GoW)blackmagic123

What about PGR3, DOA4 and Crackdown?

in pgr 3 there is almost no difference but of course there is some change, it just doesnt jump out at you, you really have to look just for things like more detail, a lil more clearity and the textures are a little shinier
