Come play a man's game :D
Since you won't be overclocking just get a cheap H81 or H87 board with whatever conectors you need (front USB3, additional PCI-E slots, etc). Corsair CX-600M PSU looks like a good deal, if you actually get that $20 rebate. It's modular, so you won't have cables all over your case. And my choice for case would be CM 690 II, it has a lot of space and offers good cable management, but case is really a matter of preference and there are lots of models to choose.
I do not recommend buying a cheap mobo. If you buy a quality mobo it should outlive all of your other components. Also OCing is easy, he can figure it out in 5 minutes.
I don't know about you but I like using my Gamestop 360 controller for certain games. Batman Arkam Asylum or Trials Evolution etc etc
I got 16 hours in the Witcher 1 and 20 hours in the Witcher 2. Maybe in this one I get 25 hours since it's open world and all ;d
Positive is better for cooling because hot air that is trapped inside the case means nothing. It's only dangerous if the air is touching your components. This is why your GPU has it's own fan and you have a CPU fan blowing air onto the cpu. The more outside air you bring in the lower the temperature.
Look at this one it's sort of like mine. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119160
See Front fan cools HDD, Side fan blows cold air onto motherboard which disperses the warm air that was resting on mobo and components. Back top fan and PSU suck warm air out the back. Most important thing I have learned is just to have good airflow from one side to the other. You don't want that stale hot air resting.

If you google image "airflow pc case" there are tons of pics. I found some better ones of positive airflow but I couldn't get the images were broken. You can see though what I am talking about.
Sorry to burst any zombie enthusiast bubbles but I can't imagine anything worse than Dead Boring 3 on PC. Wading through endless zombies till you die of boredom or the game suddenly ends (whichever comes first) is not my idea of fun.
There are some console franchises I'd like to see on PC this absolutely isn't one of them.
Yep, you can just tell when they develop a game with a console and it's owners in mind. Max Payne 3 and Hitman are perfect examples. These games are shit and are hated by the PC community but loads of consolers love them. For years I hear about this game called Uncharted and how it's GOTY and all that. Well I finally tried it out and lol mind blown.
