@Anon_J Yep pretty much a bunch of man children up in here whining about their favorite sequel not winning. I guess they don't have the freewill to try any new IPs that are advertised down their throats.
@Ramiro92 Dishonored is easily #2, but anyone who has played Journey can't truly deny how memorable and unique it is. Between the two, Dishonored wowed people, but Journey made people cry and build a wordless bond of companionship between anonymous strangers.
@Defianc4 Actually Journey follows the monomyth formula, which historically has always been high impact and popular. It brings everything down to a very simple version of it and simplifies everything to make it less of a game and more of an experience anyone can enjoy.
@tommyjj0 @ismailkhalid81 It will most likely be something no even expected or heard of. Just look at most of the nominations this year and ask how many did you even know about in November 2011.
@survivor9712 That's like saying movies or books are supposed to be fun. Game aren't meant to be fun, but are an interactive expression to convey a wide variety of emotions. Most games are marketed to be fun, just like most movies, because that is what sells well.
I had more fun playing Dishonored this year than Journey, but Journey is the superior game because it gave me something more meaningful than fun. It touched my soul and showed me pain, sorrow, accomplishment, and joy in only 2 hours. Journey's experience went well beyond 2 hours for me as it pervade my everyday thoughts.
