@edviges @bmart970 I get what you're saying, but if guns were outlawed and somehow criminals were actually not able to get guns, they could use other things as weapons, and the we'd have to ban steak knives or baseball bats because they were being used as weapons.
@edviges Guns aren't the problem. People killing other people is the problem. Even if guns were outlawed, criminals don't follow the law, so it wouldn't make a huge difference.
I agree. People who can't distinguish reality from fiction definitely shouldn't play violent games, but those games don't cause problems for normally minded people.
I think that Activision and EA are hitting different markets with CoD and Battlefield. CoD is more arcadey, and Battlefield tries to be realistic. In my experience, CoD is much easier to get kills in than in Battlefield, but Battlefield makes you feel awesome as a medic or as another role even if you don't get kills.
