there is no universal tier just persoanl ones. Fox is not better than bowser and bowser is not better than fox. They are perfectly balanced. Now in the case of a single individual then yes there are tiers. Some people play better with the fast characters, some play better with the strong, and some are in the middle. I suck with lucario but I don't with game and watch, however someone as good/better as/than me with lucario could certainly beat me.

Tiers are just made up lists that illustrate an individual's personal preference. There is no way you can support the arguement "fox beats bowser no matter what, with equal skilled players".

Also yeah fox could kill bowser around 100% if he gets a REALLY good hit. If its not a (well) charged smash I estimate around 150%

I've KOed Bowser at 90% with Kirby before, and it wasn't a completely charged up smash attack

anyway, tiers aren't based off personal opinions for the last time. they are made by people who study the game and characters right down to the bone. and by people, i mean serious tournament players who don't choose their favorite character for the heck of it. why do you think fox, falco, marth and captain falcon are the most played in tourneys? i doubt it's sheer coincidence now is it? like i've stated, frames are studied, weight, damage percantage, speed, power, reach. this isn't made out of the blue here. this takes time before one is even made. melee's tier list took a good long while before it came out. every fighting game has tiers. are you gonna deny that street fighter, probably one of the most complex and deep fighters out there, doesn't have them? in order for a fighting game to have perfect balance, every character would have to play the exact same way. which isn't the case with brawl at all. until every fighter plays the same, a fighting game will always have tiers.

and where did i even say fox could beat bowser no matter what? read my earlier posts, a boswer player can still beat a fox player. he just has less of a chance from the get go. why must i repeat myself?

take gympyfish. he's considered the best bowser player in the world. that still doesn't change the fact the character he controls is worse than fox.

answer me this though. remember pichu from melee? the small gimped version of pikachu who was lighter, hurt itself with every single attack it made, hardly had any kiling moves other than it's forward smash, recovery was incredibly slow? Ya, are you gonna tell me that pichu, who was stated in it's trophy section of melee to be considered the worst character of melee, is equal to that of fox? hell, even link?

It all depends on whose playing with the character. I know a guy, huge Nintendo fan, has been playing Melee for so long, and I decided to challenge him. He PWNed me and three other guys with Jigglypuff, Pichu, Ice Climbers, and then Pikachu. It was 3 against 1 and he owned us all with what I considered the worst characters. It's all based on skill, and I'm pretty good at SSB, and I was playing with some really good people. If you can use the characters correctly, you can beat anyone who is not as good or just as good.

no he won't. Two equally skilled players are fighting. One is Bowser one is fox. there is NO reason for Fox to beat bowser and there is no reason for bowser to fox. It all comes out to who times their shots best, gets a little lucky, etc.

I agree, the game is balanced, but 150% to knock Bowser off? Nah, I think one well placed smash attack would know Bowser off at about 90%-100%

I like Kirby, but you're telling us not to hate on Kirby, but you're hating on Samus. Samus is a good game, and just because some people like Samus more than Kirby does not give you a reason to force your opinion on them. How is Samus not unique? Samus IS classic. All that aside, I do like Kriby, and so do my friends.
