I'm Officially Happy

Ok, results are up. Sorry it took me this long, but I was distracted being happy :D

Well, so it seems that no one is getting their wish, which is probably a good thing for me considering I could have been asked evidence about #19

So...

Naughty Bench: Estefi, Jenn (tsk, tsk GD. You didn't bribe me with the milk teeth joke? I'm highly surprised  ) and Pax.

1 hit: JJ, Christine, Gwen, Asakura, Cera.
2 hits: Ivy, Jenne, Andre, Tynee, Charlie, Kingrich, Brit.
3 hits: Fwirrel, Richard, Jude, Don Juan.
4 hits: None.
5 hits: None.

So explanations are a must, right? Here they are:

1. I was arrested and brought to the police station by mistake.

True. Some years ago 3 teens that were hitchhiking were kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed. It took a lot of time for the police to find their bodies, so all lines of investigation were being followed. Several people claimed to have seen them in my city, hence the authorities here were alert. So me, my cousin and a friend were walking towards my cousin's place, where we were gonna do a sleepover. A patrol passed by our side several times. We immediately noticed. Then it just started to follow us until the officers decided to stop us. They had pics of the missing girls but it was some black and white fax copy, not really good so despite we really didn't look like those girls, we shared the basic features as for hairdo and hair colour, complexion and stuff. Plus we had backpacks with pjs, underwear and crap food. And we didn't have our ids or any bracelet or pendant with our names on. We asked them to call our parents but they refused to let us go. Apparently this mole in my face made me 100% one of them *eyeroll*. So our sleepover at my cousin's turned into some hours in the police station until our parents showed up, gave evidence of our kinship and brought us back home. Unfortunately, the real missing girls had it tougher.

2. I was admitted to an Ivy League School without even applying.

True. Apparently they keep a record and track people. I graduated from high school with an A+ so I was on their spot. Best thing about it? Once we end high school here, we need to take this huge exam covering all high school material to get into College. The higher the score, the more possibilities to get a place in the College of your choice. It's a pretty hard exam. But since I was admitted beforehand, I didn't bother to study for it :D

3. I play with my kid toys yet.

True. I keep them for my nephews and niece *cough* yeah right *cough*. I keep a lot of things but above all I love my Pin&Pon stuff. I have it all in the attic and from time to time, let's say I dust it

4. I think that the hottest character in Lord Of The Rings is Faramir.

False. Faramir is kinda hot but my favourite is *drumroll* ... Elrond! Yes, I'm picky like that. Sussssssh you all. He is hot, smart, immortal, has a lovely accent and smells good (ever thought how Aragorn would smell :? Ewwwww ).

5. The same married guy has asked me out three times in the last couple of months.

True. With flashing wedding ring in his hand and all  Just a customer that decided to show up regularly at the office with the stupidest excuse and flirt with me. Doesn't seem to get 'no' for an answer. Whatever. I just don't even answer anymore *sigh*

6. My blood type is so unusual that I should donate for myself.

True. At least I've been told so. It's AB- and apparently some component that I may need is only present in two other people's blood around: my dad and my grandfather. If I donate for myself? I don't. Too lazy *shrugs*

7. I just do some 3 depilations a year.

True. My body hair just doesn't grow, which is a total blessing according to what I hear from my friends :? They hate me, go figure :P

8. I love making puzzles to relax myself, the bigger the better.

True. I can spend hours and hours in front of a puzzle. I've made tons and didn't dismantle them. All collecting dust in the attic but it was fun making them.

9. I've been said that my hair grows faster than normal.

True. Apparently it grows for itself and for the body hair that wouldn't do it.

10. I haven't eaten a vegetable in years.

False. But really close. I just eat lettuce. Well, the other day I ate a tiny bit of tomato in my McDonalds burger that totally escaped my hamburguer dissection. I just don't like veggies since I was a little girl. The only smell of them makes me sick. And I just can't try anything which look or smell disgusts me. I totally retch.

11. The most sensible part of my body is my back.

True. You touch my back, you got me. Erm...yeah.

12. I learned how to swim before learning how to walk.

True. I was born by the sea and the ocean is tied to my childhood and to my whole life. My dad tought me how to swim (at least how to float and not drown) ever since I was a baby.

13. It's been 2 years since I last went to the movies.

True. I like going to the cinema but the movie has to be 100% appealing to me or I won't bother going.

14. I organize all my stuff following the same colour order pattern.

True. I'm the Queen of order. I can tell if anyone has moved any of my belongings a single inch. I'm an order freak, OCD, whatever. I should get pictures for you to see. But scary as it sounds, I'm easy to live with. I just freak about my stuff. What the others do with theirs is none of my business.

15. I still have a milk tooth.

False. Well, I have some in a box that the tooth Fairy forgot to pick up or something  But I know of some people who have them and are highly advised not to chew with them because if they lose them, they'll keep the gap because the replacement pieces have already come out or just wouldn't. Weird.

16. The doctor made me 2 piercings in the same ear when I was born.

False. My mum is obsessed with her ear piercings because she says that the doctor made them in the wrong place and that the earrings don't fit her well  So she asked the doctor for a pen and marked my ears in the exact place where the piercings should be.

17. I'm not allergic to anything, even if almost everyone in my family is.

True. Almost everyone in my family is allergic (badly allergic) to something. Luckily enough I seem to have thick skin.

18. I was given a cell phone with rocks on it but I refused to keep it.

True. Ok. Long story short: I was working in this really posh company doing nothing and making a lot of money. I basically had to remind my boss of his appointments (dentist, car fixing... you know the deal, he actually didn't get any job done in the company) but then along the year, there were some international fairs we both had to attend. I don't know who liked it less  Anyway, crazily reach people came over our stand to spend a lot in overprized furniture and decorative stuff. I mean, the same people once and again. I used to talk to those people over the phone before and after the fairs, helping them out with doubts and so. There was this fluid relationship that was built stronger going to dinner together and stuff. Yeah, a lot of fun, go figure. I usually got perfumes, shawls, some jewellery and girl stuff as presents from those rich customers who realized that spending my day translating boring conversations was a pretty tough thing to do. I don't actually care about any of those things, but not accepting them was rude so I always took them. So anyway, this man from the UAE game me this cell phone with rocks on it. That one I refused. And in case you are wondering, I left the company. Crazy, I know but it just wasn't the place for me *shrugs*

19. I never wear a bra at home.

True. Is it really that shocking? It's like getting rid of a belt, of shoes laced tightly or whatever. It's the first thing I do as soon as I step home: get rid of my street clothes and change into comfy ones. So yeah, the bra is a street clothing to me. I have nice underwear spaghetti tank tops (or whatever those sleeveless tops are called) that are my indoor favourites :)

20. I know how much money I keep in my wallet to the cent.

Wrong. I guess I could tell more or less, but I have no idea of the exact quantity. How sick do you think I am? Ok...don't answer.

Thanks everyone for taking part. Hugs for all :D

5 out of 20

So I've been tagged a lot of times to do this '5 interesting things about you' blog that's been around lately but I'm not hat interesting at all. However, I'll give you the 2nd instalment of something that was pretty entertaining the first time. I'm gonna give out 20 sentences about me, 15 of which are true, and the other 5 are false. Surprise Party!?

Hello everyone, thanks for showing up

This would be a surprise party for some, a not so much surprise party for those or you who were asked to contribute (thank you so much, you guys rock!) but it certainly would be a surprise party for one person.

This person is a friend of mine and most of you will have her in your contacts list. I bet we all consider her a 'friend' with a mouthful. She gives the word 'friend' its perfect meaning, at all levels. Because this person is so friendly, that she makes distances shorter, this person is so cheerful that she manages to put a smile our face even when she is having a hard time herself, this person is so awesome that she is always there when she is needed, this person is so amazing that she always sneaks a pm and totally makes our days, this person is so unique that meeting her has changed us for the best, this person is so supportive that we never had a doubt to ask her for advice, this person is so affectionate that she has brought tears to our eyes more than once, this person is so sweet she's never missed one of our blogs, this person is so caring she always has the right word to reach our heart, this person is so positive that she manages to bring us up even when she is down, this person is so funny we have cracked up together many times, this person is so adorable that she's managed to build an invisible and strong friendship bond with all of us no matter how far we are, regardless of borders, continents, oceans... she makes us feel really very close. This person is so lovely that she is being loved as she deserves... this person is all of the above and I could go on and on.

Today is a very special day for this person. She's told us about it, and we want to celebrate with her. It is about time that we give her back a tiny weenie bit of all what she gives us everyday. This person is...

From the girl who still insists on calling ya your pet name Claire xxx

(Just a little note to say that I'm positive that many other contacts in Ash's list would have contributed gladly but a little selection had to be made and I went for the ones Ash and I have in common and posting regularly. So please, nobody feel left out)

I would like to thank one person in a special way: Dustin aka BammyMan. I guessed he had to be awesome, because Ash wouldn't choose otherwise for a boyfriend. But I don't have to guess anymore. The idea of the party was his. I'm just holding it in my blog because it'd receive more visits, but all the credit goes totally to him. While contacting people for help and planning this (and even before all that) I've had the opportunity to get to know him and I can tell you we both talked LOADS. I've realized how much he loves Ash and how much he cares about her. It's been my total pleasure keeping in contact and hopefully we will remain as close for along time. And his dad is also returning today so the party extends to him. Thank you very much, Dustin. You rock! :D

So...what are we waiting for? Party time!!!

We've got.... a friendship cake

Promises

Seeing as I'm even lazier to check out up to 6 pages of comments in my last blog than to make a new blog, I'll just post something and fulfill a couple of promises I made :)

First, I said Abdullah I'll post these pics. These UECC (United European Car Carriers) are huge vessels that come in and out the harbour here pretty often (I dunno like twice or three times a week). Their engines make big whirpools in the water. They scared the beejesus out of me when I was canoeing close because they totally attract the light carbon fiber of the canoe. Yeah, big time :?

Then I said cathgil I'd post this pic of the baby sparrow some of you would remember. I found it in my window ledge and googled for information on how to feed him and keep him warm but in the end he didn't make it :( It's really impressive how you can see his inner organs and her little featherless wings.

Photobucket

Is there any other picture I owe to anyone? No excuse for another blog in a month time? No? Oh well, I thought so

So that was all for now. Huge hugs for all :D

Decisions, decisions...

It does not take much strength to do things,
but it requires great strength to decide what to do
and even greater will strength to stand by one's decision.

cross

Is it the best decision the one that can be easily changed?

Better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven?

First of all, a huge thank you to all of you who cared during my upside down-backwards-inside out time. I intended to blog about it but I'm sorry that I decided on the contrary. Still hurts, not ready yet. But I couldn't just avoid the topic as it didn't happen, so despite I think I have already explained to all of you who cared (posting where you would reach it, pm-ing and so) I'll just add for those who might be wondering that the loss of 2 dear friends within a week got me devastated and kept me away from the site. Add to that a funny glitch that wouldn't let me log in when I needed it most. So yeah, 15 days going MIA and scaring the hell out of people. Both during my absence and when I came back, the most affectionate and caring displays were too overwhelming for words so please, serve yourselves on your thank you cookies. You all well deserve, my friends :)

Photobucket

I think a special thank you is in order: to Gislef, the mod that helped me out during the time that tv.com hated me and to Stacey, the friend that orchestrated the whole "let's find BM" campaign and who kept me in tears for days. This is not even 1% of what she deserves, but I'll make up for it someday.

Pheww. Done. Moving on.

_________

Back to blogging. Well, I've been repeatedly asked to blog, even though I'm terrible at it. And since I don't work well under pressure :P here's another instalment of my thoughtful *cough* boring to death *cough* blogs. Blame Kait, she asked for it that way
