@Lhomity @bunchanumbers Unless the develops ink a deal where they get a cut of the second hand sales then the royalties they receive would be from the retail sales.Otherwise they will receive nothing. This money will more than likely be split between MS and the publishers like EA. Like I said this won't help developers... its a tool of greed between MS and publishers.

@Hells_rebelion I'm sure they dropped it because \MS told them about their used games plan and EA wants a cut of that because its universal

@darlofc67 @mrcharrio oh no. You'd be paying the neighbor and the lawn mower company for the use of the lawn mower. Even though the neighbor bought the lawn mower already

If this was really about developers not getting enough money its their own fault for not negotiating better with publishers. This will not give the developers more money.

"So we'll talk about some of the 'how' at a later date, but I will say that we understand the importance of the secondary market," Spencer said. "The secondary market was important in the current generation. We designed Xbox One understanding secondary market would be important in the new generation as well. We'll share more details, but people should know that it is a design criteria for us on the new box."

Doesn't it feel like gamespot missed something? it feels like there should be *evil laughter* after that last sentence. or maybe the last sentence should say 'We'll share more details, but people should know that they will need lube.'

sony has some sort of camera peripheral too. At least its not required. That is the problem here. And how much is this going to add to the cost of the console? 200? 300? The one thing you can't do is make your console overpriced at launch and that is exactly what MS is doing here with the new Kinect.

This almost feels like an attack on the gamers way of life. Its commonplace to lend a game to your cousin for a week or for you to trade games with each other. Not only does it feel like an attack on the way of life its almost like trashing the heritage of gaming itself. How could you destroy something gamers have been doing since the Atari days? How much money do I have to throw in microsofts face covered in my spit before a game I buy is mine and I'm free to do what I want with it?

@PixelAddict that's different though. unless MS announces that they are splitting the used game fee with pubs/devs then that would be a different story. Otherwise we as consumers have no choice but to assume that MS is making a direct attack on the used game market and gamestop. Like usual the more silent MS is, the more awful they look.
