Tested RAM with Memtest86+, no errors.
I've had the temps on screen a few times while playing, and they've been completely normal all the time, so definitely not an overheating issue. Fans are not screaming either.

I really don't want to have to reinstall Windows, it's a pain in the ass if you also have a lot of programs to reinstall (like I do), and even worse if I spend the time and then it doesn't help with my crashing problem.

Sometimes it crashes after 1 minute of playing, other times I can play for over an hour without problems. It freezes with a really loud annoying sound looping over and over again, until I shut it off from the power button.

I've checked the temps while playing, but they're fine. I also stress tested my PC with IntelBurnTest and FurMark, and it doesn't crash or easily overheat or anything. Reinstalled sound and graphics drivers, no luck there either.

Specs:

C2D E6750 2.66ghz CPU

GTX 460 GPU

4Gb of RAM

Abit IP35-E mobo

500W PSU

Only games I play right now are NBA 2K12, and sometimes rarely League of Legends (if I'm feeling lucky and think I won't crash).

Those aren't exactly very power hungry games either.

Any idea if this game will be more like AoE3, the older ones, or neither?

I don't like the cartoony graphics, too colorful .... MY EYES!!!, but hopefully the gameplay is good.

Of course it hasn't been pirated much, when what's out is apparently just a buggy beta release. They're going to download the crap out of it when it's officially released, just wait.

Is there going to be a PC multiplayer demo by the way?

I installed Ubuntu yesterday, and accidentally told it to use the whole harddrive, now all of my stuff is gone. How can I get it back and also uninstall Ubuntu?

I wanted to have W7 and Ubuntu in dual boot, put apparently you need to have them both on the same HDD (?), and I installed Ubuntu on a different one.

Anyone who has done this? How much of a performance increase in CPU dependent games does it give?

Upgrading a laptop = buying a whole new laptop.

Mine is 1.3v in the bios. At 4ghz now, prime has been running for 8 hours.

4.1ghz on stock voltage wasn't GTA IV stable, crashed after a few minutes.
