If it is like ths with all your Blu-rays (movies & games) then your BRay lens might be damaged. But if it is only with MGS then the disc is not clean or has scratches on it.
The only thing that comes to mind is a corrupted data file. Maybe it would work if you erased the current data file and re-installed the gamet. But does this erase all your save games? I don't know. But it is interesting that this happens only on "crossfire"

You may try to open your PS3 and change the ethernet port manually but it is not the thing I would recommend. Does your router have antenna looking things coming out of it? what are the risks if i open it? No more warranty and there is always the risk of breaking it with your own hands. If your modem has antenna like things coming out of it it means that it is wireless. Only thing you have to do is scan for it on your PS3.
