[QUOTE="Duckman5"]Ever hear of Left 4 Dead?Jakesta7

Left 4 Dead is different than COD5 Nazi Zombies and plus its 360 game. And RE 5 is different too. I like COD 5 better than any other Zombie Shooting game out there!

I think the new Wolfenstein will have a similar part in it.

I got the yellow light of death today. Any one have any recommendations on how to fix the issue myself before I send it in to Sony and end up out of $150. I could buy a new one, but it wouldn't be the 60gb that I have now and of course it would cost me more than $150.

If your warranty is still good just send it in and you will be given a new machine. That's what happened to me. If your warranty is void then there are two choices 1- send it in and pay 150$ to get it fixed 2- buy a new one

Anyone?

Well I've sent in my 60 Gb machine and they told me that since my warranty was still good they will be replacing the machine. I don't know which model they will be sending but I'm almost sure they are going to give me the latest 80GB model. Since they don't extend the warranty with the newly given one, it would be wise to give out a problem-free machine if they don't want to deal with customers. I have not received the new machine yet. I could report back when I get it.

Same thing happened to me on friday. My machine is dead and won't turn on with the exact death scene you have described above. Doesn't even eject the disc. Contact SONY. Sorry friend but your system is dead. Hope your warranty is not void because it will cost app. 150-200 $.

true. but why is that a bad thing? it adds replay value to the game and gives u an excuse to replay it (for the people who care about trophies)Iplayps3

he's a far-right conservative on this issue, don't bother...

:lol: trophies ruin gaming for me partially.. i always feel like i'm working towards something, which defeats the purpose of playing games in the first place...

This is what I do; with my first play through I don't care about or try to get any trophies. If I earn one it is an extra. I just try to enjoy the game in every aspect. But after I've finishd it and if the game is worthy of multiple playthroughs I go for the trophies. Let me clear one thing; I don't have any platinum trophies yet. My most completed list of trophies is from Dead Space and it is 68%.

And you guys don't think any future game will change your mind?

nah... if anything i will have less time to play games future, which would in part subdue any such scarce, i might add, desire.

plus the challenge to obtain all trophies is greater than my desire for completeness, which means that if i ever did try to get all the trophies for a particular game i would have to be considered a masochist... i guess that's the extreme angle :P

It is true that you risk your mental health when trying to get all the trophies. But as Iplayps3 said it is the feeling after hearing that "bling!!" sound and seeing that message on the top-right of the screen. For me I was sure I would be playing RE5 at least 4-5 times so why not go for all the trophies. And I feel there will be that one game for you which will be very seductive to earn all trophies.

I always turn the switch off. This prevents damaged data and HDyou may get if there is a power cut.
