I have been called a camper many times on cod4 and I just don't understand it. People seem to get extremely pissed off when you stay in one spot with a sniper rifle and kill them. Isn't that what your supposed to do? Do they want you to run around and not think tactically? I think it is more fun when people play realistically and have a strategy, not just running around the map causing mayhem. Any thoughts?
Let's clear one thing, in real life and combat, a sniper may have to stays at the exact same spot for days if he has to (just watch Enemy at the Gates and you'll get the idea). And anyone calling a sniper "camper" doesn't know anything about sniping. But I have called many gamers campers when they go prone in the grass, with an assault rifle, at the same spot and wait for someone to pass in front of them. That's just pathetic.This is why the joke always pops up, imagine if a gamer had to survive real life combat. it would be pathetic. I love the people who have played tactical based games and think that they are an expert lol. A gamer would try to look at the upper left corner to see that red dot and find where that sniper fired his shot heheeh.burock76's forum posts
