You're right, they probably couldn't have with their planned robberies and such, they would have gotten caught eventually without having attempted the assassination. If they had just planned to drive at him in a regular car as fast as they could, they probably easily could have killed him. Racists arn't that smart though, so no wonder they thought painting swastikas on their car was a good idea.

My family is pretty rich. I'm not, but my parents are. We live in a big house, and I'm 17 and set for college already. I'v been in in the upper-tier classes in school all my life. But you didn't contribute to your parents wealth so wouldn't that make you lazy as well? Many lower-class and middle-class families work very hard to make ends meet. My mother (a single parent) and I work very hard to be able to pay for the essentials while still having enough left over to satisfy our hobbies (Mine: gaming and clothing; Hers: shopping and music). And if we want to generalize I can say that many upper class families are greedy snobs who don't give regular, working class families enough credit.

I really don't think I could do anything to help with my familys wealth..I'm going to have to when I get out on my own, and thats why I'v always worked hard and school and not slacked off. Also, Who said my parents didn't work? My dad has been in the business for 27 years, and my mom has been working with the same real estate agent for 23 years, and her boss treats her like a daughter. When my dad retires, hes going to take over my mom's boss's business. We're not multi-millionares, but were upper 10%.
