This is something you do out of desperation to try to revive a dormant franchise or a dying medium (see: comic books). James Bond doesn't need that...

I wish someone would explain to these people that James Bond is still popular and well-liked. Even though the Cold War has been over for some time, these movies are still relevant and interesting. You don't need to resort to something like this to stir up controversy.

Regardless, it's a great movie and easily the best of the year.

If you want to shit on something, shit on The Last Jedi. That movie is terrible and, yes, way too long.
