Chapter 10 of Family Pledge and the new FF site :D
by cala_lily_06 on Comments
Hi all! Well I have Family Pledge up and running on the new FF site! :D And chapter 10 is up there as well. Here is the sneak peek:
----
Drew flipped open her phone and called Emma. When she answered, Drew told her, “The weather’s changed. Winds are blowing in your direction.” Without waiting on a response – knowing there wouldn’t be one – she hung up the phone.
----
And the rest is on the new site on my forum here. So come on over, take a look and enjoy the NCIS FF site we got going on. :D Adam and Barbara worked really hard to get it up and running so fast and I for one (along with everyone else) am very proud of all there work. :D *edited to include site link! D'oh!* NCIS Fanfiction Addiction

So yesterday's blog in parts was a little .... not nice. I was upset over things and how they were done and then when I created the poll - only as a way to gauge how many people were for and against what happened - it was misconstrued and I felt a little attacked by the post that I quoted yesterday. For the most part, in some areas of my life, I am no longer the "sit quietly and let it pass" person that I once was. I now stand and take acception when I feel I'm being attacked or accused of something. Today, I am better. A solution has been created that I can agree with and am excited about and we have Adam to thank for that. YAY ADAM! Kudos to you! :D
Now, for the rest of the explaination. Isaac has been running a fever since Friday night. I sat with him in the doctor's office most of yesterday morning and waited to find out if he had strep throat or a virus. Thankfully, so far, (until the regular culture comes back) it looks like a virus. Good news and bad news....all you can do there is help him get through it with Tylenol or Motrin. So, I had to go to Walmart to get the medicine. After taking WAY too long in there, I got home to see that problem I was talking about last night. Tipped the scales in the too much stuff in one day category. For anyone who thought I was attacking the editor, I wasn't. Was I venting? Yes. Should I have done that? There will probably be differing opinions on that. Like I said, we all have them and they are all valuable. I don't knock you for yours, please don't knock me for mine.
Thank you for stopping by. Hope you all have a great Sunday or Monday, whatever day it will be when you read this. -- Jen

Ok, so if you don't recognize part of that, then you haven't seen Shrek 2. Anyways, moving on. I was going to come on here and post happy Mini-Gibbs stories but first I have to get this mad out of the way. As some of you know, there was a general lockdown put on fan fiction threads at the NCIS forums. Many people complained about how the editor "talked to a few valuable members" and they decided a full-out locking of threads was best. Ok...............so I created a poll, to try and show how many people were ACTUALLY bothered by the fan fiction threads on the forum and how many weren't. The editor is now saying this:
'It's pretty obvious what this poll will show. But this won't resolve anything. I can return all of those topics back and you can continue with the overcrowded forum and all (although many of you are against it). There won't be anything different besides my lack of respect towards some posters. The point is to resolve this thing somehow. This won't resolve anything. Tommorow I'll give you all those topics back, but I must say I'm deeply disappointed. The users used to try to get their forum in order to have a normal working environment. I guess some things change. '
I can't even begin to reply to this yet, but I will, on the thread it was posted at. For now, I'm posting my happy mini-Gibbs stories.
My Haircut....I came home with my new haircut and Isaac was all excited to see me. He ran up with a HUGE smile on his face and said without losing the smile or moving his lips, "I don't like your haircut." I laughed and told him the hair would grow back. He's been watching like a hawk and can now "see" it growing back. :D He's so cute.
And tonight, he runs up and asks where the "okio" is. I asked him what he was talking about. He looks at me and says, "You know, where you sing a lot." Again, I laughed. He was talking about the karioke machine. Of course its in storage so he can't play with it but I now have an "okio" machine. :D
Now, I'm going to compose myself. :D I have a comment to reply to.
Peace and chicken grease peeps. -- Jen

Another little “mini-Gibbs” story. :P ;) This morning I dropped him off at my sister’s just like every other morning. As I hugged him and stood up to leave, my sister said, “Have a good day.” Usually she will add, “Be careful” but this morning she didn’t have to – Isaac said it for her. This is what he told me:
“Be careful. Don’t hit your office. It might crack.”

I had to laugh at that one, but reigned it in quickly and told him I would be careful. Don’t want to be hitting the office, makin’ it crack. ;)
That said, HAPPY FRIDAY everyone! It’s the weekend! :D :D :D
TTYS! -- Jen
