WOW - it's been forever.

Man, I hadn't realized how long it had been since I'd logged on here. How is everyone? What all have I missed? Pretty much everything right? Well I promised way back when that I'd post new pictures of Isaac, so here we go. A background I made for my desktop: First thing in the morning, the day after his new haircut: and playing at my company's picnic: Hope to see y'all soon! Jen

Gonna have to do a real blog soon

Cos I have new pics of Isaac! :D I just wanted to stop by and say I haven't forgotten any of you and I'll be back to blogging at a more normal rate soon. :D Have a great afternoon everyone! *hugs* to all! Jen

I got a new happy meal toy..... ;) Isaac will love it!

Hi all! Well today I come bearing great news. I switched Isaac's doctor and finally got results! Since his throat was still red (since he got sick last Friday) and he also had stuff on his tonsils and the fever still coming and going, the new doc looked him over, checked him out, felt his neck and said, "There's infection somewhere." And he was FINALLY put on antibiotics! I signed paperwork to get his records transferred and most importantly, Isaac is happy since he knows this doctor from going with my sister when she takes her kids. AND .... he's feeling BETTER! Slept really well last night and is starting to be more active. :D I'm so happy. :D And now, I have chapter 11 up of Family Pledge. :D It is on the new FF site only and the thread is here. Hope you enjoy! :D Thanks for stopping by! Have a HAPPY THURSDAY! *sets out chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing and sprinkles* Dig in! Jen

Chapter 10 of Family Pledge and the new FF site :D

Hi all! Well I have Family Pledge up and running on the new FF site! :D And chapter 10 is up there as well. Here is the sneak peek:

----

Drew flipped open her phone and called Emma. When she answered, Drew told her, “The weather’s changed. Winds are blowing in your direction.” Without waiting on a response – knowing there wouldn’t be one – she hung up the phone.

----

And the rest is on the new site on my forum here. So come on over, take a look and enjoy the NCIS FF site we got going on. :D Adam and Barbara worked really hard to get it up and running so fast and I for one (along with everyone else) am very proud of all there work. :D *edited to include site link! D'oh!* NCIS Fanfiction Addiction

Bye for today! -- Jen

Chapter 9 of Family Pledge

Hello again! Well, I have Chapter 9 of Family Pledge written and posted. Here's the normal sneak peek: Gibbs walked into the kitchen to see Emma at the stove. She was heating some stew. “How long do you estimate we have before he starts watching us?” he asked. She blew on a spoonful of the stew and held it out to him to taste. “Maybe a day, two at the most. If I’m right, he won’t wait long.” “If you’re right?” He asked and took hold of the wrist of the hand still holding the spoon. She fixed him with a look from her light brown eyes once more and told him, “I’m right. He wants me dead and he’ll come after me. I know he will.” Tasting the stew and surprised to find it quite good, he nodded. “You’d better be right.” “Besides, your entire team and Army CID is working the case. Between this and them, we’ll get him.” Emma said as she turned off the burner and got two bowls down for them to have supper. And the rest is right over here. Hope you enjoy. I'll be posting on my LJ and soon will have this story on the new site that Adam is creating. Once I get that accomplished, I'll work on getting my other fics over there. My update alerts will now be in my blogs unless you'd like me to email you that one is up. If so, pm me where you'd like me to send the update link to ok? Thanks guys for all your wonderfullness these past few days. :D Ciao for now, Jen

The witch is gone....

So yesterday's blog in parts was a little .... not nice. I was upset over things and how they were done and then when I created the poll - only as a way to gauge how many people were for and against what happened - it was misconstrued and I felt a little attacked by the post that I quoted yesterday. For the most part, in some areas of my life, I am no longer the "sit quietly and let it pass" person that I once was. I now stand and take acception when I feel I'm being attacked or accused of something. Today, I am better. A solution has been created that I can agree with and am excited about and we have Adam to thank for that. YAY ADAM! Kudos to you! :D

Now, for the rest of the explaination. Isaac has been running a fever since Friday night. I sat with him in the doctor's office most of yesterday morning and waited to find out if he had strep throat or a virus. Thankfully, so far, (until the regular culture comes back) it looks like a virus. Good news and bad news....all you can do there is help him get through it with Tylenol or Motrin. So, I had to go to Walmart to get the medicine. After taking WAY too long in there, I got home to see that problem I was talking about last night. Tipped the scales in the too much stuff in one day category. For anyone who thought I was attacking the editor, I wasn't. Was I venting? Yes. Should I have done that? There will probably be differing opinions on that. Like I said, we all have them and they are all valuable. I don't knock you for yours, please don't knock me for mine.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you all have a great Sunday or Monday, whatever day it will be when you read this. -- Jen

I need something deep-fried and smothered in chocolate.....

Ok, so if you don't recognize part of that, then you haven't seen Shrek 2. Anyways, moving on. I was going to come on here and post happy Mini-Gibbs stories but first I have to get this mad out of the way. As some of you know, there was a general lockdown put on fan fiction threads at the NCIS forums. Many people complained about how the editor "talked to a few valuable members" and they decided a full-out locking of threads was best. Ok...............so I created a poll, to try and show how many people were ACTUALLY bothered by the fan fiction threads on the forum and how many weren't. The editor is now saying this:

'It's pretty obvious what this poll will show. But this won't resolve anything. I can return all of those topics back and you can continue with the overcrowded forum and all (although many of you are against it). There won't be anything different besides my lack of respect towards some posters. The point is to resolve this thing somehow. This won't resolve anything. Tommorow I'll give you all those topics back, but I must say I'm deeply disappointed. The users used to try to get their forum in order to have a normal working environment. I guess some things change. '

I can't even begin to reply to this yet, but I will, on the thread it was posted at. For now, I'm posting my happy mini-Gibbs stories.

My Haircut....I came home with my new haircut and Isaac was all excited to see me. He ran up with a HUGE smile on his face and said without losing the smile or moving his lips, "I don't like your haircut." I laughed and told him the hair would grow back. He's been watching like a hawk and can now "see" it growing back. :D He's so cute.

And tonight, he runs up and asks where the "okio" is. I asked him what he was talking about. He looks at me and says, "You know, where you sing a lot." Again, I laughed. He was talking about the karioke machine. Of course its in storage so he can't play with it but I now have an "okio" machine. :D

Now, I'm going to compose myself. :D I have a comment to reply to.

Peace and chicken grease peeps. -- Jen

Another pictorial for you :) WARNING there is a pic of a snake in this blog.

Hi all! It's me! Back from the land of "Where did that person go?" :D I do want to say I'm sorry for all the blogs I haven't been able to read and comment on. I hope everyone is doing well and that you are having a good week. I have some new pictures to share with you this week. :D Everyone loves pictures right? Here we go.... My new haircut....moving on..... Little Man Isaac aka mini-Gibbs at the Aquarium and in the garden :D The Cooper River Bridge The Yorktown An island in the middle of the river Fort Sumter .... way behind the sailboat :D Beautiful birds inside the aquarium. One of the tanks :D The only snake my sister has ever described as beautiful because of the green color....the picture apparently doesn't do it 100% justice. :D And that's all for now everybody. Have fun and enjoy your week! Jen

Can you say lobster?

And I'm not talking about the sea creature either. I'm talking about me. At this moment, I'm about as bright a red as you can get. :( We had a family dinner yesterday (tradition for us) but instead of being at the beach beach we were at the lake beach. Since Isaac was with his dad and I didn't have to pack his bag, guess what I forgot? Yep, sunscreen. So I'm sitting in the sun catching up with the cousins and hearing about wedding plans and suddenly realize how hot it is and my legs are uncomfortable. I stand up and look down and see how RED they are. Uh-oh. Yep, the sun had a field day with my skin. Especially considering I haven't worn shorts in about two years....nearly virgin skin again. OUCH. :D So here I am today in the cool confines of the house, trying to catch up on all things missed over the last week and keeping myself warm while my sunburn keeps my arms and legs hot. :D Hope you all are having a great weekend too! :D I'll be stopping by real soon. :D Adios for now! :D Jen

Words of Wisdom

Another little “mini-Gibbs” story. :P ;) This morning I dropped him off at my sister’s just like every other morning. As I hugged him and stood up to leave, my sister said, “Have a good day.” Usually she will add, “Be careful” but this morning she didn’t have to – Isaac said it for her. This is what he told me:

“Be careful. Don’t hit your office. It might crack.”

I had to laugh at that one, but reigned it in quickly and told him I would be careful. Don’t want to be hitting the office, makin’ it crack. ;)

That said, HAPPY FRIDAY everyone! It’s the weekend! :D :D :D
