Looks like your going to need to get an upgrade before playing the newer games. You will need more Ram, a better graphics card and possibly a new power supply unit. I'd get at least 2gb ram, 8800gt graphics card and a 450w psu before playing newer games. You could try cod 4 as it is suppose to run on lower end pc's but I can't see it performing that well on yours.

I got cod 4 last week and ive been playing online alot, im already lvl 55:), but anyway all i did was download the game and start playing multiplayer and i havent needed to get any patches or updates or anything. Whenever i go on there is tons of servers with 20+ ppl online, just make sure your filter setting are set right and no firewalls are blocking your game.

I already know how to switch the psu and graphics cards but I was wondering what steps to take before buying these things and what precautions to take and any advice you have about it because i'm new to this. Do you think I should go with that psu and graphics card?
My current specs are- Intel core2duo processor 2.40ghz, 3gb ram, geforce 8500gt graphics card,32-bit vista,300w psu, 20" hp lcd monitor
Just wanting a new card so I can play Mercs 2,gta 4,sims 3 when they are released on Med-High settings.
