Thanks, it seemed to me they were either affiliated (AMD-ATI and Intel-Nvidia) or gamers seemed to prefer certain combinations for some reason.  Edit - BTW for my first PC build I'm leaning Intel Core 2 Duo + NVidia, they seem to both have an advantage at the moment.

I've been doing research about a new comp for several weeks, learning little by little.  My question is, is there a clear-cut difference between these brands, or are they both good, just specializing in something different?

The Lian Li case doesn't come with a PSU so I can choose it.
