Funny how you were saying Muramasa was 'shallow' even though you've never played it and now you're saying you like Okami and it's combat is very simplistic. there's a whole HELLUVA lot more to okami than the combat.[QUOTE="hakanakumono"]
I think there were games better tha OoT and Metroid Prime in their respective generations, sometimes on the same system. For example, I find Resident Evil on the gamecube to be a better game overall than Metroid Prime. It's the only game I'd give a perfect 10. As for OoT, there were better games released for other systems (despite being from different genres as well) that bring more to the table than OoT did. I find Ookami to be a much better game than Nintendo's TP last gen as well. As for this gen, I'm pretty sure there will be games better than SMG if there are not already.

One game does not make a franchise.Pessuit only makes sense to use the word "franchise" when 80% of the population doesn't know what an "IP" is.
They would be foolish not to go after the casual market. It really doesn't matter if Nintendo dominates it or not , there's a vast market out there. It's something that they have always done , why would they stop now?[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]

I don't believe this for one second. Both Sony and MS are ultimately better off leaving Nintendo's market alone, while focusing on the market extraneous to the new casuals.

But they shouldn't approach the casual market in the same way Nintendo has, because it's a futile effort imo because Nintendo holds a monopoly on the concept.
It's a new market and it's still up for grabs. Sony will have to either accept themselves as a niche company, or do their damndest to top Nintendo and make the most money. What do you think they're going to do?
