i'm a bit confused as to why the us needed the sopa / peta bills when they already have the power to shut down a website like megaupload, suspected of allowing pirated material to be freely distributed.

interestingly the guy who owns megaupload, Kim Dotcom, was the number 1 ranked mw3 player in the world (he's slipped to number 2 now since his arrest)
